Carry-on Wedding Bubbles on plane?

Hey all!

Well our wedding is the 23rd and people are starting to fly down tomorrow and we have a concern with our wedding bubbled. My fiancé purchased 60 small wedding bubble tubes for after the ceremony and spent hours tying ribbon around them. I'm worried now about packing them as we'll be flying down.

One option was to pack them in our checked baggage but since the tubes just have small friction stoppers I'm worried the tubes will leak under the plane and we'll be left with a soapy mess and nothing to hand out.

Option two was to give each person flying down with us a small ziplock with 10 tubes each in their carry-on. It seams to meet the TSA 3-1-1 guidelines but I'm worried security will throw them out since they're all the same liquid just individually packaged.

Any ideas guys? I'd love to be able to give the guy flying down tomorow the bubbles so I can find out in advance what to do. We leave on Wednesday morning.

Thanks!

Christien

not enough time to mail them? even fed ex? i honestly would pack them in my luggage, with some extra in a zip lock. if they fit in enough bags between the people who are flying AND you have no other liquids to carry on (i MUST have lip gloss, lotion, eye drops - oy! high maintenance!!) i bet you can carry them no problem, but if they won't fit into as many bags as you have people to carry on, your done for!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

I would *highly* suggest sending them via overnight, 2 or 3 day.

You don't want them to leak in your checked luggage, which will cause a larger "issue" with the TSA and mess anything in the luggage.

It also might be an inconvenience to those you ask (in case they were considering packing their own liquids).

I would ship them.

Just make sure to arrive even earlier if you put them in carry-on because you will almost certainly be pulled aside once they x-ray and see 10 same sized containers. I got pulled out of line and had a full pat down and they had to call someone to inspect my carry-on..and they were tins of M&Ms; not even liquid.

I would have them shipped via FedEx/UPS just to be safe. If you take them in your carry-on you do risk having them thrown out, and if you pack them in checked luggage you risk having them leak/explode. Sipping them is the safest thing to do. You can have them shipped right to your resort. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Thanks for the heads up guys. We decided not to ship them since it would cost $35+ from Toronto to Orlando and the bubbles only cost $20.

Instead, my fiancé had the bright idea of dumping them all out now and then carrying them down empty with a big bottle of bubble solution. Of course this means I get to spend an hour filling them all up again with a funnel in our hotel room but at least it's a surefire guarantee.

Happy days!
