Carry-on restrictions?

I know US airport security really tightened after Christmas but then it seemed like rules were changing almost daily. Now that our trip is less than 2 weeks away, I wanted to ask what the deal is with carry-ons. We are flying from Syracuse, NY direct to Orlando. I wanted to carry on my shoulder bag (bag for parks) and for my kids to bring their little character suitcases on wheels. Is this OK?

Thanks!

Each airline may be different, but Continental allows 2 carry-ons per ticketed passenger: one "purse" type and one larger "luggage" type. Each of us had one of each. Since they charge for checked bags, we carried on everything except 1 large luggage.

My son took his Cars roller luggage.

You should be fine.

Check the airline website for specifics. They still have rules about liquids and items you CAN'T carry on, so if you plan to have those in your bag, make sure you look at the guidelines.

Thanks - that is helpful! We're flying JetBlue if anyone else has done so recently and can share their experiences.

TIA!
