Carousel of Progress Open?

Does anyone know if the Carousel of Progress will be open during the month of May? Or how can you find out when it will be open?

Just called WDW. The carousel of progress is only open seasonally. It is open right now because of the easter and spring break vacation period, but will close on the 24th of april. The CM I spoke to said there was no further info regarding opening after that time. I'm also going in May and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I suspect it will not be open again until the peak season, {july, August, perhaps?} Well, let's wish each other luck for a surprise opening in May!

I'm so glad to hear it's open around Easter! We're leaving tomorrow morning to head to WDW. We usually go down in November and it's never open then!

When I was there in early December they said at that time only open for major holidays.

It is open right now, I rode it twice today. The attraction is normally open one week before and after a major holiday.

Ooooh!! I hope it is open when I am there then!!! I am going on June 22-25!! That would be the week before the 4th of July!!!

From what I understand and have experienced its only open during peak times, like major holidays.

Now that we have all had a chance to answer this post, is anybody upset about the short amount of time that CoP is open these days? It's a real shame!

Absolutely! CoP (and TimeKeeper) are two of my favorite rides!!! I really want another chance to ride CoP before the rumors of removal become true.

I too, would be really disappointed if COP went away for good. If they choose to do that, I hope they would do a "farewell tour" and have it open for a solid year. I haven't been there at the right time for a few years to enjoy it and would love one last shot at this classic presentation.

DH and I haven't been to WDW in three years; pretty much spent all our hard earned money on a 11 days/10 nights honeymoon at CBR and Contemporary with the works but we are off in two weeks for ten days!!! CoP was open when we went in May of 2000 and we were there for May 7th on and went on CoP at beginning and at the end of our trip. I hope they reconsider and open at some point during the month of May
