Sorry I have only just started writing this my boyfriends nan died on Friday so havent had the time. Hopefully writing this is going to make me feel better.
Anyway:
Me (Caroline) - 21
Nick - 22
Me and Nick travelled to London from Norwich on Friday 27th March and stayed in the Mellenium Hotel Mayfair. I got this on lastminute.com for £10 on a special deal (couldnt believe it). It was very central London and just a street away from Oxford Street.
I booked the hotel after I had booked the trip to disney and the eurostar so therefore didnt think we would get down to London in time to get the early train so had to get the 12.58 train to Disney. This meant we had to change at lille and arrived at 5.10pm in Disney. The change at Lille was really simply, however there are stairs down the the platform which can be difficult with a case.
We arrived at 5pm and we werent to hungry so decided to go for a drink in the sports bar before getting something to eat. I had a cocktail and my boyfriend had a beer. As the euro is so bad for British people at the moment we found the drinks very expensive. 6.50 euros for a pint of beer and 7.00 euros for a cocktail. We had both agreed not to worry to much about money and just have what we wanted.
We decided about 6.30pm that it was a good time to head over to Billy Bobs for the beffet.
What a fantastic choice of restraunt. Thanks to all whom recommended this its gorgeous and such great food choices.
This was my starter:
My boyfriends main:
Sorry forgot to take pictures of the desserts as I had a bit to much wine...but trust me gorgeous. I would definatly recommened this restraunt. Im not a massive meat eater so ate a lot of the starters and my boyfriend loved the mains full of beef and ribs.
The shuttle bus to the radisson stops at 8.30pm so we had to get a taxi to the hotel. This cost us 12 euros but we wernt to bothered as we just wanted to get there. This hotel is lovely and really modern. Its a quality hotel and the shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes from 8am to 8.30pm!
We had no problem checking in and the reception staff were lovely. This cost us 70 euros a night which was a lot cheaper than we could get any on site hotel for. I would highly recommened this hotel but would be better if you had your own transport.
I will do the 2 days in the park later. Hope you enjoyed our first day.
