:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Hello everyone....:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I was wondering if someone could help me out. We will be traveling to Disney the first week of December, and are currently booked at the Caribbean Beach. My husband and I did stay here before we had children back in 2002, but did have one bad experience with a bus to Magic Kingdom. I would like to give this resort another try, but will now be traveling with my husband and two daughter's who will be 4 and 18 months when we travel. How is the bus transportation? What would be the best location for us due to the little ones? We do not mind walking, but last time we were there, we were in Trinidad South, and it was a long walk to Port Royal. Just a bit nervous, as our last two stays were at POFQ, and everything was very close. Any thoughts and suggestions anyone can give, would be much appreciated!!

Thanks a bunch!

Happy Spring!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We stayed at the CBR in June, 2006 and are going back in just 69 days! Can hardly wait!

We were in Jamaica Building 41, Room 4154. Our room was upstairs, non-smoking, and faced a very pretty courtyard. Our walk to the Jamaica bus stop took about 3 minutes and the walk to Old Port Royale took about 5 minutes. The Jamaica quiet pool was never crowded and we had it to ourselves several times.

We enjoyed just lazing around in the hammocks on the Jamaica beach. There is a small playground area for the little one on the Jamaica beach also.

The buses ran very efficiently during our stay. Sometimes there were three and four buses at the bus stop at once. (picking up and dropping off) The longest we waited for a bus was 20 minutes and that was because we jjjjjuuuusssstttt missed the Epcot bus. It was also about 10:45 a.m. which is definitely not the peak rush hour for getting to the theme parks. We also found that, often times, the Jamaica bus stop was the first to pick up and drop off.

We were used to driving our cars around the WDW grounds but after taking the bus the second day, we never even started our car up during the 10 days we were there.

Hope this helps to calm your fears, Lisa

Thanks Mickeystoontown!!

I think the resort is beautiful, and I was actually thinking of requesting Jamaica when we arrived. I hope that you enjoy your trip!!!!

My husband and I stayed in Aruba 51 and absolutey loved the resort and location of our room. Very quiet, laid back, close to parking lot and bus stop. It was a very quick walk over the bridge and island to Old Port Royale. The walk took exactly 8 minutes starting from inside of our room. I timed it because I read such bad reports on the long walks and couldn't understand what everyone was complaining about. You can always pay for preferred which would be Martinique 25 or 26 or Trinidad North 31, but I would save that extra money for souvenirs and request ideally Jamaica 45 or Aruba 52. Aruba 51 is smoking, but am not sure if all rooms are smoking in 51.

My husband and I drove to Disney so did not take advantage of the bus transportation since he likes driving, but I always noticed bus after bus coming and going at all times. I never saw anyone wait long for a bus as there was one right behind the other. We stayed Aug 25 - Sept 1st last year...very light crowds and couldn't believe how many buses were constantly coming and going to the parks since there weren't many people at the resort.

I would definitely give CBR another chance. It's a great resort!

DW and I love CBR!!! Bldg 51 is the smoking building, but 52 and 53 are right there. Jamaica is next to Aruba and both are about 5 minute walk to OPR and the bus stops. If you want to be closer to OPR, try Martinique or Trinidad North, but if you want a little quiet, Aruba and Jamaica are your best bets.

We go right before Christmas and have never had a problem with busses. If we had a wait, like the other poster said, we juuuuuussssst missed the bus.

Have fun!!!

I would take the car and drive to the food court, hop the bus from there.

That is what we always do, we keep the refillable mugs in the car so when we get back to the resort we can get a nightcap

I suggest taking a look at the CBR FAQ thread listed below. You will have a great time at CBR.

Thank you so much everyone!!!! We are very excited. This is the second trip with my parents(which is now our new family tradition), and I just try to make every trip the best it can be!!

Thanks again,
laura
