Has anyone brought their own bikes before? We were thinking of bringing our own bikes vs. renting them there. We have done this at Fort Wilderness before but wasn't sure if it's acceptable or not at CBR.

TIA! :flower:

Deweysgirl,
I have never brought bikes (too far to bring from MN). I would think as long as you kept them in your room or car they would be fine with that.

I agree. As long as you have a place to store them I don't think they will care. If you put them in the room it will be pretty cramped.

Are there laundry facilities for every village? I like to do laundry one day of our trip so I don't have to pack so much.....

I have another question too. Since we booked in January, my osteonecrosis has reared it's ugly head. There are no preferred locations left to book (we have AAA discount) do you think if I brought a dr's note they might at least not put us in the most remote locations?

There is a laundry facility at every quiet pool at CBR. I am sure if you mention at check in that you need a close location for medical reasons they will do their best to accomodate you. You can also keep calling and have them check to see if there is availability in the preferred locations.

Hi Scoutsmom99 and liquid. I'll be their too, I arrive on Sept.25. I requested a rm in Jamaica by the bridge. Scoutsmom99 we'll be joining you on Sept.30 for MNSSHP!

I would post a picture of my family but I don't know how. :confused3

It will be me, DH (for part of the trip), DD9 :earsgirl: and DD5 princess:

You will be able to tell who we are because we will be the family w/ the Triumph stroller w/the lime green bandanna and lime green luggage tag on.

OH yes, and we will probaly have the disease known to us as Disneyitis (reason why we decided to cut down on vacation by one day.).

Just a reminder from the posting guidelines.

Couple quick feedback notes... I stayed at CBR South Trinidad building 38 (room 3802) Sept-3 to Sept-11 2005.

- they are wiring and configuring high speed internet in all the rooms (service on trial until October then for approx 9-10$/day).

- if you can't get in a building close to OPR, don't expect to walk back and fort to OPR. The distance will seem x10 longer once you have been to the parks and fatigue sits in.

- unless you plan on visiting OPR daily (or are within close distance) the resort mugs are not worth it.

- a taxi run to the closest Walgreen / strips of malls on International and 192 will cost you 12-15$.

- the bus shuttles are not running the same routes morning/afternoon. The driver was mentionning that they balance the sequenced based on the water parks and the final destination of the park.

M.P.

mproy - is this round trip? If so, that's not too bad! And is it really Walgreen's or (hopefully) did you really mean Walmart?!

Can you buy laundry detergent in the laundry areas? Also, what toiletries are included....soap, shampoo? Lastly, is there a hairdryer in the rooms?

Can you buy laundry detergent in the laundry areas? Yes.

Also, what toiletries are included....soap, shampoo? Yes, a small bar of soap for the sink, a larger one for the tub/shower, and shampoo.

Lastly, is there a hairdryer in the rooms? Yes.

I would suggest bringing your own shampoo and bring back home the ones they give you. The shampoo isn't that great.

Also if you need lots of air when you blow dry your hair these hair dryers are not the best. I don't like most hotel hair dryers.

If you see trial size laundry detergent you might want to bring it with you. It is a little pricey if you are buying it out of the vending machine.

DS nearly 14 would like to know more about the food court :mickeybar :drinking1 , what do they offer? What are the hours? He is thinking of his late night rumbly tummy  thanks!

Food court is open until 11. There is a sit down restaurant also. Food varies from burgers and fries, chicken, pizza, sandwiches. Pretty much standard fast food type stuff. There is also the grab and go market that has snacks and stuff that changes with the time of day.

My DS14 loved the food court. Burgers, Chicken Strips, fruit, bagels, doughnuts, eggs, waffles, subs, etc. Standard pop and other drinks. He loved refilling his refillable CBR mug....

I bought a small box of laundry detergent and put in a zip lock back some dryer sheets. I am planning on bringing a roll of quarters so I can do laundry.

Does anyone know how much it is for the washers and dryers? I'm figuring atleast $2 each... am I in the ballpark?
