Hi Everyone!

DH and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding Anniversary in January at the CBR. My ressie says it's a King Room. Is that guaranteed? Also, I know there are no microwaves in the rooms, but can they be requested at check in like at CSR?

King beds are a bookable category so you paid extra for the king room. No microwaves for request in the rooms.

I'm on page 31 and had a few questions:

I booked myself and now teh IL's at CBR. I requested Aruba and for adjoining rooms. I just got the email for the IL's and it says "connecting" rooms. I don't want them to have access to our room or ours to theirs. Should I call back and ask for "adjoining" rooms???

Also BIL has some health issues and stairs might be a problem. If I call and ask for a 1st floor will it be a problem?

im bumping you b/c I don't want your question to get lost. I don't know the difference between connecting & adjoining rooms. So, someone else will have to answer this one. but, do know that if you request 1st floor b/c of health issues, they will do it.

Connecting means the door between the rooms, adjoining means next to.

Usually they do not guarantee this. I would check with Disney but don't get excited until you get there and see what they give you.

They will take your request for first floor but again they will not guarantee this unless you go through guest services.

I called them and told them I did not want connecting rooms but adjoining rooms. At first she didn't want to add it to my ressie and told me to just fax them 24 hours before my check in date but I wanted her to add a location request to both of our ressie's so I think she changed it to adjoining rooms.

She also told me I didn't need a 1st floor since they have elevators. Is this true?

Any idea what the fax number is to send this when the time comes?

It won't be that big a deal if we aren't directly next to each other. It would just be helpful so MIL can babysit some nights!

This is our first time to Disney and we are staying at CBR for 7 wonderful nights and 8 days Nov 22-28. We were planning on leaving so we could arrive on the 22nd and go to the parks not sure if schedule will allow so we are planning on staying around the resort on the first day, how is the food at Shutters?

Also any recommendations on what to pack, I know i will take a power strip for all our electronics. Does the t.v. have RCA HOOK ups for the cam corder?

There are two doors between "Connecting" rooms, so either room can lock their side to prevent people from the other room from having access. I'd keep the connecting rooms since it guarantees you will be next to each other, and you can always lock the door.

There are no elevators in any buildings at CBR. If your BIL has a documented health problem call WDW Special Reservations at 407-939-7807 and they can guarantee you a first floor room. The regular reservations line cannot do this.

Hello! I have just booked a little getaway with my daughter to CBR in January, and we booked one of the pirate themed rooms. I have read that all of the pirate rooms are in Trinidad South, and I have looked at the map, and I am wondering how far of a walk from the main pool area is it? I thought I had seen something about internal transportation at CBR, can anyone tell me more about that? Thank you in advance!

I have read that all of the pirate rooms are in Trinidad South, and I have looked at the map, and I am wondering how far of a walk from the main pool area is it? I thought I had seen something about internal transportation at CBR, can anyone tell me more about that?

Depending on which building you are in, the walk from TS to the main pool is 1350ft-2500ft. For comparison, the walk from the entrance of the Magic Kingdom to the Castle is also 1350ft. If you want to walk, it's only a 7-10 minutes.

For bus information, see the Caribbean Beach Resort Bus Routes thread. If you are in Trinidad South there is an Internal Shuttle which runs every 20 minutes that can take you to the main pool area. To get back from the pool to Trinidad South you can take ANY theme park bus or the Internal Shuttle.

Does anyone know if they were redone with the Nemo theme or just regular?

I'll have to see about a documented health issue. My BIL is 18 and was robbed and shot in the head in September. He's okay now. Still in rehab regaining his strength. Right now he is pretty weak but MIL really wants to take him. He really wants to go too. I just don't know how well he will be walking up and down steps by then. I guess I will just wait and see when the date gets close and see if they actually do go. She is booked but is waiting for that 45 day mark to cancel or not.

When I fax the request how far ahead should I fax it? 72 hours....24 hours? Also do I just put both of our confirmation numbers on it with requests?

Thank you!!! It is a huge resort, but as long as you utilize the shuttles and busses getting around shouldn't be too hard

Good evening,

I am sure this has been asked 10 times over, but we are going to CBR in December (2nd week) and was wondering what villages have had the Nemo renovation? We are not in a preferred room, just a standard and am hoping for a renovated nemo room. What do you think our changes are?

This will be our first time staying at Disney and crossing our fingers for the new rooms
