I just read on another post about peoples favourite food and drinks at WDW. One guy posted that Red Stripe on the hammock at CBR was his favourite dessert!:worship:
It got me wondering what other beers are on offer at Banana Cabana?:drinking1

Anyone out that stayed at both POP and Carribean Beach?
I'm seriously thinking about changing our bounceback to Carribean Beach!
Would I be better off? Where are the Carribean Beach Bus Stops at the resorts are they last or near to last like pop or what? What are the Pros vs. Cons? My kids and hubby loved pop but I really want to try a mod and I think this would be the one! I've been to DVC resorts and love those as we also loved POP! We also thought ASMU was awesome!

I have two quick questions:

1. Do I need coffee fliters for the coffee pot if I am bringing a can of coffee (I know I asked this before but I got conflicting answers!)

You WILL need to bring your own filters for YOUR coffee. The comp coffee comes in the coffee in a filter bag. You can get half/half from the food court to keep in your fridge for free. The coffee pots are 4 cup models.

We will be there on Friday, and Tuesday I'm making my last call to confirm all my requests/preferences. I'm requesting adjoining rooms on the first floor b/c I have 3 kids 4 and under, and don't wish to haul my stroller up a flight of stairs, and my FIL who is with us is not in the best health and going up stairs is hard for him. I realized the other day I didn't request a crib/pack and play though. Two questions in regards to this:
1. Are their cribs/pack and plays very clean and nice, or along the lines of the typical highchair in resturants. ie: who knows the last time they were cleaned? Would it be better to bring my own pack and play?
2. If I do use the WDW one, do I ask ahead of time for it, or at check in?

Two of my three girls have come down w/ some sort of illness today, complete w/ fever. I am praying they get better quickly. If not, I'm taking them to the doc on Tuesday and pumping them full of vitamins in the meantime! I'm not a germ-o-phobe, but I don't wish to put my 6 month old in a crib/pack and play that lots of other sick, pukey, snotty, drooly babies have been in if I know that it's not cleaned very well each time it's used. I don't want to go from one illness to another! Thanks in advance!

And it was very clean-looked brand new. I did bring our own crib sheets for it and a small can of Lysol to clean it with first. (now that they make the Lysol wipes, I would bring a few of them to wipe it down.) You should be all set.

I should be there by 7 pm today, till friday. If anything changes, I'll post it.

Hi,
Lets see the bus stops for Cbr,
at the Mk it is the one before pop's,
At Hollywood studios it is the one right after pop's,
Epcot it is 2 before pop's stop
At animal kingdom ( i can''t remember) maybe someone else can help with this one.

I have stayed at Pop century and Cbr as well as all star music in the past. With 4 of those stays at pop century. We really do enjoy Cbr much more than those other 2. What sold me on Cbr, first i noticed never having to stand on a bus. I mean if the fireworks just eneded or the park just closed than maybe once or twice. I also have no problems giving up my seat for anyone, still i found most times the bus had empty seats for the ride back to the resort or the ride to one of the parks.I enjoyed making a big cup of coffee in the morning and going and laying on one of the hamhock's in the sand and watching the sun rise.

I found that Cbr's pools, arcade, food court, and main store to be much less crowded than pop's. At cbr at any given time i counted no more than 6 people waiting at my bus stop in trinidad. The resorts bus stops have bunches to sit and relax while your waiting for your bus to arrive. Cbr just seemed much more quiet than pop. I also was there in the end of august and was told it was very crowded, you could tell at the parks but not at the resort as it was very quiet.

I like this thread. We just came back from the CBR last week. We liked the room and we thought Port Royale was awesome. We never had any trouble finding a place to sit and eat and the shopping was actually better than what we expected. I have some pics as well of the resort that I will try to post later on after I earn the right on this awesome site.

THis is a friendly thread!
Everyone loves to see photos of CBR! I have been a big time lurker for way over a year now.....and I am finally staying at CBR in a few weeks!
I am recovering from being a Chronic Resort Changer!

I tried to switch my 3 nights at Pop to CBR and it's booked solid! :sad1: Why couldn't I have done this last night instead of this morning? lol
