Just got back from CBR and WDW last night.

CBR was great. I asked about the pirate rooms when we checked in on the 20th but was told that they were not available yet. I wanted to ask again on Saturday but DH wasn't really up for packing and unpacking again just to move to a pirate room. :confused3 After I thought about it I did agree with him though! :rotfl: Besides we were perfectly content right where we were!

I could see from the outside that not all of the Trinidad South rooms were converted yet, I could see the old style curtains.

Anyway, we were in Aruba 51. It was wonderful. I will elaborate later with a full report and tons of pics! Busy with laundry right now!

Do the CBR buses that go the parks have to stop at another resort before going to the park? I see the CSR lovers always talk about how they have thier own bus that doesn't have to stop at other resorts.

CBR has their very own buses and do not share with other resorts.

Welcome back!! I can't wait to read a report! Could you tell which buildings were finished with the pirate rooms?

In your opinion what is the most colorful, tropical areas of CBR. I guess I mean "most pleasing to the eye" landscape wise. While staying at Coronado the Cabana section near the pool was really tropical looking with lots of palm trees and bright colored flowers. We are going in two months and have nothing but some pictures to go by.

Unlike Coronado Springs, where the Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas have vastly different theming and architecture, the theming, architecture, and landscaping of CBR is fairly uniform. The only difference is the paint on the buildings:

Brick Roof/Peach Walls in Trinidad North and South
Red Roof/Light Blue Walls in Martinique
Turquoise Roof/Salmon Walls in Barbados
Teal Roof/Plum Walls in Aruba
Light Blue Roof/Yellow Walls in Jamaica

Does anyone know what type of refillable mugs they have? Do they still have the YOMD mugs or are they resort specific? We will be going in March.

When we were at Disney in a few weeks ago, the Poly had YOMD, but CSR had resort specific...

Thanks!
Stacie

Can you get a roll-a-way for CBR rooms? There would only be 4 of us, but the kids fight about who is sleeping w/ who and it can turn ugly. A roll-a-way might help that.

Yea I have the same question as the other poster, can you get a roll-a-way bed if you have 2 queens or only if you have a king room? Did I read somewhere that some rooms have bunk beds? Thanks for any input!:)

the pics of the pirate room looks great. i could do without the big scull on the drape!! How about a big picture of Jonny Depp?? that creeps me out, almost to not want to stay there...

This is due to a little quirk in the system. CSR's food service (food court and table service) is contracted out to an outside company. That company chose NOT to participate in the program where there was one mug throughout all of WDW. That's why you saw a resort specific mug at CSR. Therefore, seeing a resort specific mug isn't a sign that WDW is going back in that direction, since CSR never changed away from that.
