You can check in now 60 days ahead of time? What is the advantage to doing that?

All your paperwork is printed and ready for you when you arrive. It usually speeds up the check in process.

Has the Caribbean Beach bedding been upgraded to the duvet covers or do they have the colorful bedspreads??

Thanks for the info!

Yes, all WDW resorts now have the triple sheeting and colorful runner.

Sorry, double post.

I have added to my reservation that I would prefer to stay in Aruba or Jamaica. We stayed in Aruba in 2009 and loved that side of the resort. I really do not want a pirate room and didn't pay for one but am worried they could upgrade me (the one time I don't want pixie dust!). Should I add that I don't want a pirate room to my request or am I safe since I didn't pay for one. Thanks.

If they offer you a Pirate Room you do NOT have to take it. I would not waste a request on a category you didn't book.

We've been here since Sunday and its been great. Paid for water view room and we got Martinique 25, just steps to beach. Grandbabies love the beach. I brought some plastic gold coins from home and threw them in sand and now they dig and look for jakes gold deblumes. I've noticed alot of baseball players tonight, food court was twice as packed as it had been.

I phoned CBR yesterday and was informed you can only make ANY requests 10 days prior to ckeck in. Is this correct ? (We are there From 2nd July) Thanks in advance:cool1:

I'll be arriving at CBR on Oct 26th. When should I make a room request? Is it too early to phone now? It's my first time at Disney. Thanks :)

Also wondering if Martinique 22 was a good spot. It looks like it's close to a bus stop, quiet pool and not too far from OPR. Would have loved a preferred room but there were none available for free dining.

First off you didn't actually speak to anyone at CBR. If you call a number listed as CBR you get routed to a call center and the CM will answer like they are at the resort.

Secondly the CM you spoke to was incorrect. I make our room requests when I book, usually 7-8 months prior. I don't know why, but I'm still blown away by the amount of incorrect information the phone CMs put out there.

So should I be calling the phone number listed as CBR or another number? My husband has had back surgery and has mobility issues so the room request is really important for us. We have paid for a water view. I was thinking Martinique 22 looks close to a lot of stuff. Would love a preferred room but none available for free dining :(

There is no number that will get you connected to any WDW resort. You can google them etc. but any number listed will get you to a call center. They want the CMs at the resort to work with/talk to the guests standing in front of them, not on the phone. Also, if you hit the "Front Desk" button on the phone in your resort room you will not get the front desk. Those calls also get routed to a call center.

The best way to add any room requests is to call the main reservations line and add your requests to your reservation.

Martinique 22 is a great location. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for the info! I'm so excited it's all I can think about :thanks:

We spent this past weekend at CBR and were in Barbados 11, corner room, first floor water view. It was a lovely location with a great view of the lake and the main pool area across the lake. Our kids enjoyed the short walk to the old port royal area and it was nice and quiet. We decided we would request this location in the future since it was right next to a big green space, quiet, close enough to the public spaces that you enjoyed the walk and very close to a bus stop. We have always stayed at POR, but decided that we liked CBR much better because of all of the little places to stop and sit and just hang out. We took a walk all the way down to the Trinidad buildings and those seemed way too far - almost like you are in a different resort - and some of the 'preferred' buildings in Martinique seemed too busy. The turkey club sandwich from the food court was delicious and the pizzas are a good deal for a family lunch.

Are the sandwiches only pre-made or can you request one without condiments? We have an aversion to mayo or any other 'special' sauce.:crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

TIA
