Wow. I just read a good chuck of this thread and I think I'm sold.

I have a MIL who has had two knee replacements and I want to make sure she is as comfortable as possible. We'll also have a 1 year old. I know we want ground floor rooms. What building should we request so that we don't have to walk all the way across the resort multiple times a day?

If you don't book preferred, I'd suggest that you request Martinique 22, Aruba 51 or 52 and Jamaica 44 or 45.

Very good news, indeed! By the time we go back for Food and Wine next year, we'll have new rooms at CBR and the Mine Train open! Yay!

Maybe not just Murphies. A pp said a doorman at CBR told them that some connecting rooms were being converted to suites. That would be another very welcome choice for families or 5 or more.

When they did a room refurb with queen bed upgrade at POR it took a full 12 months to complete.

Congrats! FYI, we were nervous before our first CBR stay too. We were big fans of POR and POFQ at the time. After that first stay, CBR became our favorite moderate by far. Even with double beds! We've had a total of 34 nights at CBR now.

I hope they keep the Murphy bed idea as an option too though, as I'm sure the suites will be more expensive. I was hoping for a good alternative to POR.

YIPEE!! Just booked our room to CBR with FD in November. First time there and can't wait!!

1st timer here....booked CBR months ago, but just added FD this morning. We are SOOOO excited to stay here. We have been stuck at POR because we are 5, so when my parents decided to join us....we jumped on CBR since one of our kids can room with them. We've always wanted to stay there and could care less about double beds. But queen would be better if the refurb moves along.

Just booked CBS this morning and asked for a Preferred Room for our Nov trip. When is it best to ask your preference in location. The only thing I would like would be a upper floor. Should I have ask my TA at the time of booking or just call Disney a few weeks ahead?

Your TA can put the request in at any time. Just let them know. Usually, requests for 2nd floor are always granted. If you booked a preferred room, you may want to also request Martinique. Seems like most prefer it over Triniad North. One thing for sure, you're always 2 stops ahead of Trinidad on the buses...regardless of which entrance they use.

Coming back from MK this rainy afternoon I noticed construction area being staged in the Aruba back parking lot as well. I noticed Jamaica first because that is where we are staying. For one more night anyway. :-( Planning to return fall 2015 though!

Funny how Disers Know more than the phone CM's. Today she told me nothing was listed to happen at CBR this year. We have requested Jamaica 9/19-9/25 and would be a pleasant surprise to have upgrades.
