Good choice, Jamaica 45 is our favorite location. Followed up by Aruba 51. They are both a very short, 3-4 minutes, stroll across the bridge to OPR and the Main Pool. We prefer Jamaica because of the bright yellow color of the buildings.

CBR is our favorite Moderate by far. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Good advice. The last 2 visits we've had at CBR we've been in Aruba 51. Wonderful location.

Also, you won't have a water view if you are booked standard view. Really, the standard views are FINE and you don't have a balcony so the view isn't as important as if you were sitting there on your balcony looking out. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the water. The beaches on Aruba and Jamaica are both very nice and convenient.

We also think CBR is the best moderate. Love it there!

A little off topic but I'm about to burst. Something told me to look under a picture I had over my sewing table, I found a envelope with 3 $100 bills in it!!!! I must have put the money aside during Christmas. I know if I forgot about it my dh has also. I don't want to tell him because he'll spend it on something silly on the trip, so I think I'll just keep it a surprise for a nice dinner for the family. But woohoo!!!

Each village has it's own bus stop. The order depends on which entrance the bus driver uses. If the bus comes in the side entrance the order is:

Jamaica
Aruba
Barbados
Martinique (Preferred)
Old Port Royale
Trinidad North (Preferred)
Trinidad South

If the bus uses the main entrance the order is:

Martinique (Preferred)
Old Port Royale
Trinidad North (Preferred)
Trinidad South
Jamaica
Aruba
Barbados

We have never had a bad meal in the food court over our almost a dozen stays at the resort. The housemade chips are fantastic as a side dish. Oh and the monkey cupcake is delicious!

There were pictures of a "mock" (my word not the poster's) room and the dresser in the picture looked like it had a murphy/pull down bed like the ones at Port Orleans.

This would be AMAZING. POR is pretty much our only (affordable) option right now. I'm kicking myself for not going to CBR for our last trip with my daughter was 2. Now we can't stay there for the next trip. I really hope they end up adding the murphy to fit 5!!!

We eat at least one meal and have had only one minor issue in 4 years and that was because I didn't read the menu right They've got a good selection and I could probably just eat the pasta salad and be happy.

Forgive me the questions but I'm only on page 7 of this 223+ page thread. I was simply just wondering what the best standard room view would be? I was hoping to request to stay in Jamaica, according to the map, Jamaica 45 looks like the best choice. I love to view the water. I've never stayed at CBR but fell in love with it when I took the boys in October for their pirate cruise.

We were in 2512, which was a good room. It overlooked the central courtyard between 25 and 26 and we only had to turn right out of the room, right again and we came out opposite the beach and practically next to Shutters. Next year we may try for 26, but 25 is nice and close to the bus stop, too. I don't know if they charge extra on a preferred room for a water view. Does anyone know? That said, I think we preferred the tranquility of not having people going past all the time.

I'm thinking my family would enjoy CBR (DD6 and DS4). I think they'll be perfect for the pirate splash pad area. We'll have our car with us. Is parking just outside of each building? Is there parking at the food court area? Would we likely need our car just to get around the resort?

There is parking just outside every village, but not outside every building within each village. Check out the map to see what I mean. All the grey areas are either roads or parking.

Would we likely need our car just to get around the resort?

Nope. We have stayed at CBR 4 times. The first 2 times we had our car with us and never used it until we left for home. The other 2 trips we never once missed having our car.

Wow. I just read a good chuck of this thread and I think I'm sold.

I have a MIL who has had two knee replacements and I want to make sure she is as comfortable as possible. We'll also have a 1 year old. I know we want ground floor rooms. What building should we request so that we don't have to walk all the way across the resort multiple times a day?

We are at CBR right now (sadly our last day) and they are setting up a construction staging area in the back parking lot near buildings 41 and 43. There are porta potties and fencing going up.
