Caribbean Beach FAQ Part IV

I'll try to be brief but have so many questions! Our family has been taking a Daytona Vacation for over 30 years. I have personally been for 20 years of my life and now that many of our family have grandchildren and/or moved on to other things, this will be the first time that my immediate family will be doing something a little different from the caravan that typically visits Daytona.

I have been to Disney for a day several times growing up. My wife and I actually visited Disney World about 3 years ago. However, this year, my parents, wife, 2.5 yr. old son, and myself will be staying at the CBR for a week in July.

My Dad is retired and does not do well walking long distances. It is extremely important to have close access to the pool/beach areas. I have talked to Disney and they told me to pick out a couple of spots to stay. I'm looking at Martinique 22 and Jamaica 44 due to their beach/pool and proximity to the main pool/food court.

We have all the park access and options not to mention the Disney dining plan. Is there any advice for us in making our stay more comfortable and providing insight for our stay.

The boards and site have been extremely helpful! Thanks in advance for any and all insight.

Be sure to ask for a first floor room. There are no elevators at CBR. We asked for my mom who had knee replacement surgery and they granted our request. They also upgraded us to a preferred room Martinique 26! Couldn't get any closer!

This is one of those times I would recommend booking a preferred location. They you wouldn't need to worry about where you would be located.

Just back from our first trip to CBR. We had a great time. Stayed at Trinidad North in a preferred room. Everything was fantastic. Despite being there during sprind break we never waited more than 20 minutes for a bus. Great information through these threads. A must read if you are going to the World.

Glad to hear that you had a good stay. It's also nice to see a post about the bus wait times too.

We have 52 days here and I can't wait. I am going to start pulling out the suitcases this weekend to see what else I still need to buy. I only have 4 more paychecks until the trip to get everything bought. :scared1: 52 days sounds like a lot but 4 paychecks not so much.

Plus this week my DH and mom surprised the family with a cruise in July. So we get back from WDW on June 14th and then off on a curise on July 17th. At least I won't have to dig everything back out I will just wash and throw it right back in the bag. :rotfl:
