I am 35 years old and have always dreamed of going to Disney World ever since I was a little girl but have never been able to go and FINALLY my dream is coming true!!! Flying in from Charlotte, NC on the 28th and staying until Dec. 3rd.!!! CBR looks like such a beautiful resort and I love the beach theme! I am counting down the days and having fun planning! Anyone else going to be at CBR during these days? :yay::yay::yay:

Congratulations!!! :woohoo: CBR is a beautiful resort! I hope you have an absolutely magical trip - how exciting, a 1st visit to WDW! Be sure to tell them at check-in as they will give you a button to weat that says "1st Visit" . It will be fun to wear as many CM's and guests will greet you!

Wish I could say I'd be there, but no trip this year. Have a blast!!!:yay:

I am so excited I could just bust!! We will be staying at the CBR for the first time in December. I had originally booked CSR, but was still really unsure if it was right for us. We have stayed at POFQ and ASSP and wanted something different. Thanks to this thread I called this morning to change to CBR and sure this is the resort for us. Thanks to all of you for the helpful info. Come on December.:cool1::yay::woohoo:

we stayed at CBR for the first time in june and just loved it. enjoy your stay!

How do I mail myself a package to the CBR?? I have only done this once, and it was to the GF 2 years ago...Can anyone help? I think I have to have my ressie number, name, and dates of reservations...? Does anyone know the address to mail it to?? Thanks!:confused3

If you booked a water view room is there a certain building that you will be in or could it be any of them?

If you exclude the Pirate rooms (which are in a separate booking category), there are 5 villages, and each village has both lake frontage and a village pool. As a result, every village has some water view rooms.

At CBR, water view could mean a view of the lake (Barefoot Bay) or a view of the village pool. There is no way to reserve one or the other. You can request one or the other, but the booking category is 'water view" and not "lake view" or "pool view," so there is no way to guarantee one or the other.

Good Question. I need to know, also. I think I remember reading that you shouldn't put your ressie number on the box, though. Any thoughts?

The address is in the first post of this FAQ. You should put guest arriving and your dates.

I did it! We are booked for CBR January 30-February 6! :cool1:  Thank you to everybody who so patiently answered my questions here on the CBR thread. Now, all I have to do is wait until my 90 day date for ADR's... popcorn::

It will come up quicker than you know!!!!

Hi,

We're going to be staying at CBR in October (our first time)...and wehave booked Pirate Rooms for the kids. :cool1:

I'm sure there are pictures somewhere ... but without having to check out every page, does anyone have a link or know what page the pictures can be seen on? We're traveling with 3 families so I'd like to share the pictures with them beforehand.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

T.

Hi all!

I have a question about bringing drinks to the main pool area.

We were thinking of pouring our own alcoholic beverages into opaque plastic cups and bringing them out to the pool --- to save a few $$$.

I know this is probably against the "rules" but I was wondering if people have had experience with this - if a CM will call you out or if they turn a blind eye.

We are not rowdy types, so it's not as if we would be splashing the drinks everywhere or doing anything to call attention to ourselves, we just thought it might be nice to have a pool drink w/o spending $7 a pop. :goodvibes

TIA!

Sadly we might be switching from our favorite mod (CBR) to either POR or CSR. The reason is we discovered that the softball and lacrosse teams will be staying at CBR (and All Star Sports) from Feb. 25-April 26th for their spring training. We encountered them this past March and while they weren't really badly behaved they did take over the quiet swimming pools each day and made it uncomfortable to swim for our daughter with autism. So sadly, we might not be staying at CBR next year as planned. Those of you that don't like the sports teams you might want to reconsider CBR during those dates. Why CBR!!!???

I am interested in responses to this, too. Also, how can you find out where the teams will be staying? I'd like to be able to check my dates.

I checked at /disneyworldsports.disney.go.com, but it doesn't say where they are staying, only when they'll be at the sports complex.
