Are you saying that when you are at a resort hotel you have a choice of getting on a bus that says TTC or a bus that says MK?
From your actual Disney Resort, you will only see a bus for the Magic Kingdom. Consider it a nice perk... direct access to the gates instead of a large parking lot, tram ride, then monorail/ferry ride
Or are you saying that if you are at, say, AK, you will only see a TTC bus.
Correct, from the Disney parks themselves... you will not see a bus stop marked "Magic Kingdom"... but rather "Ticket and Transportation Center. The only bus stops located directly at the Magic Kingdom's entrance are Resort Bus Stops only.
I'm familiar with the TTC because we usually stay offsite, but I'm a little confused about the Disney transportation from resorts and between parks. The last time I stayed onsite I was with my sister who is a Disney guru and just followed her!
you got spoiled eh! Disney transportation (in my opinion) is very easy to learn/use by just asking questions and doing a tad bit of research.
Your Disney Resort will provide you with easily marked transportation to all Disney Parks and Downtown Disney. Let's just use CBR as an example.
CBR uses strictly bus transportation and from your resort bus stop, you'll notice buses marked:
Magic Kingdom
Epcot
Disney Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach (although sometimes they are seperate)
Downtown Disney and Typhoon Lagoon (also sometimes seperate)
Simply board the bus to the park of your choice and once finished with that park, simply walk to the bus stop that is labeled "Caribbean Beach Resort". All Parks/DTD have "bus directories" that clearly designate which bus stop number your resort is.
When you start Park Hopping from park to park... is when things can get tricky!
You'll notice Epcot, DHS, and Animal Kingdom will provide transporation to the other 3 main parks, except instead of seeing a bus stop for "Magic Kingdom", you'll see one labeled as "Ticket and Transportation Center". If traveling from Epcot, you'll need to take the monorail to the TTC; DHS and AK will provide a bus.
The only odd ball is Downtown Disney. Due to "free parking" you'll notice that this area (2 stops total) only has "Resort" bus stops... no direct access to any parks/TTC.
The water parks (at least from what I can remember) will have a bus stop for the TTC, but no other parks.
Edited to add:
If traveling from the Magic Kingdom to the other parks... the steps would be to use the Ferry/Monorail to the TTC, and catch a desired park bus from there. You can not access any Disney Resorts from the TTC with exception to a walking trail to the Polynesian or the Resort Monorail loop for the GF and Contemp.
