Yes there are combos like this. Yes you are guaranteed a king room if you book one. I don't know that there are any odds since they don't guaranteed. If there was only one parent then your chances would be higher.

Ok, my friendly CBR experts out there; I have a question!!!! We have a preferred room reserved for our Aug. trip. We have stayed in Preferred both times we stayed at CBR previously. We have stayed in Martinique and North Trinidad. We want a 2nd floor room, and we'd like to not be facing the road, we have a DD with epilepsy and her seizures can be triggered by interrupted sleep, so being near the road in North Trinidad was not good for us previously in that regard. Other DD has severe allergies so being near one of the courtyards with the DSAs isn't going to be a good choice either. So, where do you suggest I ask for in my request? I'm so confused........... I just don't know where to ask for. Also, feel free to give Bldg #s as well, I can add that to the request when I call. Thanks!!!

What is the best way to get from CBR to the Poly? We have an ADR at 'Ohana and will be going straight from the hotel after some rest/relax/pool time. From the Poly we'll be going back to the parks.

Your best bet would be to take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the resort monorail to the Poly. After your meal you can then take the monorail to the ticket & transportation center and catch a bus/monorail to the park of your choice.

Simply walk to the nearest CBR village bus stop and watch for the Epcot bus. It'll take you straight to Epcot.

CBR veterans - what's the best/fastest way to get from the Poly back to CBR just about the time Wishes is ending at MK?

We have plans to eat at Kona Cafe, then watch Wishes from the Poly beach and head back to CBR. However, everyone ELSE at MK will be leaving around the same time ..... so do we:

1. Rent a cab?
2. Take monorail to TTC and then wait for a bus back to CBR?
3. Take monorail to TTC, go to Epcot and then catch a bus back to CBR?

Epcot is a very solid option... but avoid the monorail to the TTC by all means! This will easily add 10mins to your route. Your stops would be GF, MK (yikes!), and CR before you actually stop at the TTC. Not only is it faster to walk to the TTC in general, it will save you a huge crowd head ache/panic! One of the Poly's best perks is it's walking access to the TTC, so take advantage of it!

If for some reason you can't make it to other parks... always consider the DTD option: taking a bus from the Poly, to DTD, then a bus from DTD, to CBR. We used this option after our late dinner at Chef Mickey's with out issue. All other parks were officially closed at that time and I feared what transportation would be like at those hours even though they say "transportation runs an 1 after park closing"

Taking a cab will most likely be your fastest option without a doubt... but in all of our years on property, we have yet to use one and always seem to make to it home

Thanks for the info! This shows you just how much research I need to do to get "up to speed" for our August trip. I'm sort of confused about the whole TTC thing (gotta search for some real DETAILED maps on the various resorts and parks).

staying at CSR July 12-16. Need to know what room/cabana/section to request in my fax. It seems that most folks like 8a or 8b Cabana. Should I also request a corner room while I am begging? Sounds like bus stop 2 is the ticket.
Any suggestions for this first time CSR quest will be appreciated.

I created this map to maybe give you some ideas...

Courtyard view of Building 24 is a very solid option... not to mention puts you close to the quiet pool (but back side you won't hear any noise) and bus stop.

If being too close to the pool concerns to you... consider courtyard view in building 25. My only concern would be if you got a room closer to Building 26 and the proximity to the smoking area located nearby.

Courtyard view of Building 31 is also a very strong option (forgot the arrow... sorry!) and would be ideal in proximity to Old Port Royal.

Building 32 Courtyard view is also a decent option... especially since the smoking area of Building 33 is more off to the side.

I'd simply request 2nd Floor, Courtyard View, Buildings 24, 25, 31, or 32. At the time of check-in restate your concerns/requests and see what your room assigner can do for you. I'd avoid online check-in if possible... and work with a check-in CM instead since the location is so important!

Best suggestion... if you're not happy with your room assignment... tell someone! I can also say that on our last CBR vacation (May 09) the smoking area's were RARELY used, and in our section (T. South) we never even saw anybody ever using them.

I just had to share my good news with my CBR friends. As many of you know, I had a stay booked at Pop for our upcoming August trip. I booked it with the buy 4/get 3 promo back in February. Well, today, after three phone calls, I finally got someone who was willing to try and upgrade me to the CBR. I did and it only cost me an additional $456.64 for 9 nights. Wooohooo!

I think the TTC is very confusing myself... so no worries there!

I like to consider the TTC as a hub for all non-disney transportation guests. For those guests driving vehicles to the Magic Kingdom, you're forced to park at the TTC. From their, you can take a Ferry or Express Monorail to the park itself. Now if you're using Disney Resort Transportation to get to the Magic Kingdom, your resort will have a bus stop located directly at the entrance of the park

The TTC can also be used by driving guests to go to Epcot (via a seperate monorail track) or the other Disney Parks (via Disney Bus Transporation). It acts as a "central hub" for day visitors looking to park hop, tour groups, etc.

If your staying at one of Disney monorail resorts (Poly, Grand, or Contemporary) your resort will have a monorail stop/station. This is a seperate loop as opposed to the "express" monorail that travels directly to the MK from the TTC. The "resort" loop has 5 stops: (in order) TTC-Poly-GF-MK-CR then back to the TTC. It's vital that the resort loop stops at the TTC because it's the only way for guests staying at these resorts to travel to Epcot (by changing monorails once at the TTC).

It can be very confusing... no doubt about it! You'll notice that all parks will either provide a bus to the TTC or monorail (MK and EPCOT)... again... adding to that central hub aspect.

Are you saying that when you are at a resort hotel you have a choice of getting on a bus that says TTC or a bus that says MK? Or are you saying that if you are at, say, AK, you will only see a TTC bus.
I'm familiar with the TTC because we usually stay offsite, but I'm a little confused about the Disney transportation from resorts and between parks. The last time I stayed onsite I was with my sister who is a Disney guru and just followed her!
