Caribbean Beach FAQ Part IV

Do you think it would be a problem if we brought our own toaster? My DDs like to eat toasted bagels with cream cheese for breakfast, and we'll be eating breakfast in the room.

Also, are there ice machines at CBR, and if so, where are they?

Thanks!

There are toasters in the food court for guest use. There are ice machines in every building. They are marked on the resort map given at check in.

Six of CBR's buildings are preferred location: Trinidad North 31-32-33 and Martinique 24-25-26.

These are the 6 buildings closest to Old Port Royale. Of these, Martinique 26 and Trinidad North are the very very closest, followed by Martinique 24 and TN 32, and then Martinique 25 and TN 33. No, that's not a typo ... M 24 is slightly closer to OPR than M 25.

Thanks!!

Hello,
We are staying at CBR August 1-8 and using Disney Transportation. My brother is staying off site but we would like him to come to the resort to swim with us. What sort of identification will he need to enter the resort to meet us? Also if we say the rental car is ours what does he need in order to avoid paying for parking at the parks?

Thanks!

OK, I know this has been asked and answered (probably many times), but I'm not in a situation at the moment where I can scroll back through the pages to find out (I'm at work...bad me!).

We did NOT request preferred rooms. I'm doing online check-in this week and wanted to see what requests I should make. When I made our reservations, I requested one of two villages (and specific buildings in those villages) -- should I do those requests also on the online check-in? Can I request a corner room? Lake view? :confused3

Help! Thanks!

Hello,

My mom, sister and I are planning on going to the CBR next October. I'm thinking of renting one of the bikes on the day we arrive and tour the resort. How long do you think it would take us to tour the resort on a surry bike? I'm just thinking about the expense. An hour? Maybe more?

Thanks!

We rented a surrey bike for an hour and it took us less than that so we made another loop around to get our money's worth.:thumbsup2

I haven't done online check-in yet so I am not exacty sure if there is a place to put in your requests. If there is, you can certainly do so. Just make sure that you put your requests in the order in which they are most important to you.

I did online check-in for our stay at WL in April. There was no place to put a room request and from what I've read on the boards you can't do it with any resort online check-in. I would call in your request ASAP. Also, be aware that a view of the lake has it's own booking category (it's called Water View and offers a view of the lake or the pool) for CBR and costs more than a standard room.

Does anyone know if you can use the dining plan for the pizza delivery at CBR? If so what is included and what credits does it take. TIA.

It must be me....but I did online check in last night for our stay 7/15/-7/26 and under the requests section only two options came up ... one for a pack and play and one for a refrigerator....where do you put in your other requests?

Don't know the answer to this, but I can't see why "refrigerator" would be listed under the request section. All rooms come with a complimentary refrigerator.

Need some advice from you CBR veterans! What's your thoughts on online check-in and honoring special requests vs. doing the 'regular' check-in at CBR?

I've been reading on other threads that some folks don't use the online check-in because they feel they have more of a chance of getting their special requests (like a corner room or specific floor) this way. (I do have a standard room reserved and realize that specific room request are not guaranteed)

BUT is check-in a zoo at CBR so online check-in is a good idea? We are arriving at MCO around 3:30, so I wonder if that's a busy busy time for check-in and we should just do the online so we aren't standing in line forever.

Thanks for your input - I appreciate it!

I would like to hear opinions too. My only request is connecting rooms......hopefully there are plenty to be had a CBR.

I haven't done online check-in so I can't give you any opinion on whether or not online check requests are granted. But, I can tell you that we have stayed at the CBR three years in a row and all of our check-in times were between 2:30 and 5:00 p.m. The first year, the line was a bit long (probably 10 families in front of me) but they opened up two more windows and the line moved quickly. The next year, there were about five families in front of me and the line moved quickly again. Last year, we got in line right as a Magical Express bus pulled up. We had just three families in front of us. They immediately opened up another check-in window to accommodate the bus.

We've never had to wait a long time to get checked in.
