Is it possible to get a water view if u paid for a preferred room? Just curious how that works.

You could request a water view room. If you booked preferred you would get that but there is no way to pay to also get a water view room. Personally I think the water view rooms are not worth the money. The views can be quite creative of the water. It could also be of a quiet pool. Personally the back of the buildings are very nice also. With all the landscaping it is hard to see the cars in the parking lot.

Thank u so much! What r the views from the preferred rooms? I'm not to concerend being we probably won't be there much but I'm curious. :)

It could be a water view, a courtyard view, standard view. Preferred just indicates the location. Rooms are identical to the other rooms. You are just closer to the main pool and food court.

Gotcha! Thank u so very much! Does anyone know if there are flat screen tvs in the preferred rooms? I know the pirate rooms did but wasn't sure about the rest of the resort

If you look at the first few posts of this thread I have pictures of the TV's in the Nemo themed rooms.

Hi all,
We leave in 3 days and i have not started packing yet. How are the irons there if they are any good it will cut down on my prep time for packing. Thanks I really need to get moving.

Hi, if anyone is out there now, please help with CBR room question! My sis wants to make the ressie ASAP. 1) Are pirate water views close to or on the beach area? 2) Where are the pirate rooms located (all in Trinidad south?) 3) If we want to be close to everything, do they have a preferred pirate room (none showed up on the website, so am wondering if they are all sold out for our dates or if they just don't exist?) 4) Given that we want to be close to pool, beach, and food, and buses (don't want much do we? hahahaha) which building should I request? And are there any priate rooms there (my sis really wants a pirate room if possible). Thanks for any help!!!

(1) Pirate water views could be a view of the Trinidad South quiet pool, just as easily as a view of the lake.

(2) Pirate Rooms are all of Trinidad South, and only in Trinidad South.

(3) Preferred locations are Martinique 24, 25, 26, and Trinidad North 31, 32, and 33. No Pirate Rooms are in the preferred locations.

(4) Buses are close to all rooms, as there is a bus stop at every village. There is a beach at every village as well, and a quiet pool in every village. The only thing in your list that you're not right next to in Trinidad South is the food -- probably a 5-10 minute walk.

Hope that helps -- we love CBR!!!!!!!:cool1:

Thank you for your very fast reply! I'm calling my sis now to answer the questions and make a decision...then book our CBR trip for March 2010!:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay:

Ok, so I have 46 days until our week long WDW trip at CBR. So give me hints and suggestions. We haven't been to WDW since 11/07. It's me, hubby, dd (3yr) and ds (18 months).
Thanks everyone!

Wooo hooo!! We picked pirate standard view room for 3/19- 3/27!! Can't wait to see CBR! I'll be reading through this thread over the next couple months for cool stuff about CBR! :thumbsup2

My strongest advice is to do everything at their pace. Don't push them beyond their limits. I know that can be terribly frustrating, but it will pay off in the long run.

Anyone hear anything about events at CBR for Halloween?
We're scheduled for MNSSHP on Nov 1st so I was trying to find some fun activities for 10/31.
I know they showed a movie last year.
Are there plans for 2009?

I believe Downtown Disney has Trick-or-Treating on the 30th and 31st. That may be something fun to do.

We just booked our trip for March 13-20 :yay:and wanted to ask a few questions. First off regarding size, how does it compare to CSR. Similar to the posts on here it seemed like everyone complained about how big and spread out it was but it really wasn't that big of a deal. Also does anyone know what the crowds are like this time of year. Last year we went easter week which is suppose to be bad but we really didn't think it was.

So glad to hear that - we have a trip planned for the week before Easter 2010 because that is when DD11 is on Spring Break. We normally go in Feb and pull her out of school for a week but with her starting middle school this year it is not as easy to do. We have never had real crowd issues before......but this could be entirely different.

subbing! I will attempt to read through this entire thread. I have just booked our trip March 5-13th at CBR. All the preferred rooms were gone, but I put in my building request for the Jamaica and Aruba buildings closest to the bridge (don't remember number off hand) I need to call back and request first floor though.

My party thinks we are staying at the All Star Music Resort and I am so excited to have this secret! I really hope everyone loves CBR! I am really looking forward to it. :goodvibes

We just returned from Disney on Saturday. We were originally going to be in Pirate Rooms, but ended up moving to Martinique (Bldg. 25) b/c I forgot to request a 1st floor room (duh!)...my son has a special needs stroller so lugging up and down was going to be a major pain and my sister was traveling with her 3 month old and also had a larger stroller...so they moved us to preferred location with water view. (3 families with 5 kids) The staff was very accommodating...check in, check out, bell services, cleaning services - everyone we encountered were helpful and polite.

In hindsight, it worked out best since it was such a short distance to the main pool and food court. Also, there was a quiet pool just around the corner. It was hotter than expected (record-breaking heat for this time of year - lucky us ;) - so we made use of the pools on a regular basis. The kids loved, loved, loved the slide at the main pool. And the moms loved the margaritas from the pool bar area :rotfl:

Our rooms were very clean and taken care of every day. And we even got some towel animals - kids thought that was very cool. :cool1: The buses were great, too. Not much waiting most of the time...really couldn't complain about any of that.

I thought the food selection of the food court was pretty good - were able to actually get some healthy food selections (turkey sandwiches, salads, fruit, etc. - not just burgers and fries). The variety was a nice surprise.

Thanks to everyone who suggested CBR :thanks: - we would definitely recommend to others. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to start planning our next trip. :woohoo:
