Great info on the fridge. I have one of my own that I am going to bring because it has a freezer compartment. So, we will have two, which will be great because then I can buy enough 1/2 gallons of milk for our stay, as well as the water and other cold items. Four weeks from tomorrow and we'll be at CBR!

Hi everybody! I have questions regarding doing laundry at CBR.

I saw on another site that the cost per load is $2.00 for the washer and dryer each, so at total of $4.00 per load. Is this correct? Do the machines only take quarters? Is there a change machine in the laundry rooms?

If I don't want to fully dry some of my clothes, if I open the dryer to remove some items, will it allow me to finish the cycle with the remaining clothes? This may sound like a stupid question but I haven't used laundromat type machines in 20 years, lol.

I have never done laundry at Disney but this trip we will be there for 10 days and there is no way dh and I will have enough clothes without doing laundry atleast one day.

Thanks!

6 more sleeps till we are at the CBR and enjoying all the magic that is Disney! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Anyone have a picture of the drinks available in the food court(pop/soda machines for the refillable mugs)

We never do laundry while on vacation but DH didn't pack enough underwear for himself :rotfl: so he had to do a load. I threw other things so he had a full load.

It took him 3 times to dry it before it all came out dry. So $8 total for one load. :scared1: It is $2 to wash and $2 to dry per session.

There are change machines in the laundrymat. Only quarters I think. DH is the one that did the laundry and he's not the best with details.

Well then I guess I wont have to remove any items before the time is up since it sounds like they wont be dry yet! lol

Thanks for all the great pics. We leave in 36 days!:woohoo: Staying at CBR after much thought and planning. We asked for the Pirate Rooms when reserving will we get one? pirate:

Welcome mom2girly!!!! Did you book a Pirate room or just request one? If you booked one then you will get it. If you requested one you probably won't get one since they are a bookable category.

The machines take quarters, I usually stock up in advance and put them in one of those mini M & M containers - they fit perfectly.

I have done laundry a few times. Check the dryers - everyone is different. Some do not dry well at all. One time at Pop, the dryers just turned on without putting any change it - that was a bonus. I think it is very hit or miss. I also noticed that you cannot overload the dryers. It is better to have 2 dryers half full than one full.

We are going to CBR for the first time next week. It's the family's first trip to Disney and we are very excited!! My 3 and 4 year olds have fallen out of hotel beds in the past, so we're a bit concerned. I have a question about the bedrails. Are they readily available? Do I request them when we check in?

Also, if the beds don't work out for the kids, is there enough room to make a bed for them on the floor? Can we request extra blankets from housekeeping?

Thanks!!

Does anyone know where you get a cab at CBR. WOuld I have to go to the custom house? Or could they pick up in front of our section? We stayed here in October but we drove our car there, so I have no lcue about cabs. What I'm thinking of doing is staying here for 1 night before our reservation at SSR begins. But we are flying this time so we would need a Cab to tarnsfer over to SSR in the morning. Not sure how a resort switch would work here since it's such a large resort.

I don't know the answer to this question, but it's one I've wondered about...
anybody know?:confused3

Hi there - I am booked in 2 preferred rooms, connecting, hopefully as we are 2 adults with 4 kids. Anyway... I just switched from the Cabins to CBR yesterday and so I know nothing about CBR.

I have just a couple of questions - is there anyway to get a roll-away? I don't think my nephew and my oldest will fit in a bed together - and since there are 6 of us total bed space is limited.

Refillable mugs - can you use old ones or is that discouraged? We just bought some in August but I don't know the policy.

Is the arcade pretty good?
How about the food - is that pretty good? I only think we would ever eat breakfast there since we are on the dining plan - but do they have muffins and crossiants and things like that?

Thanks for all of your help. I am very excited to stay here since it has a more tropical feel and the cabins remind me too much of Michigan and that is why I switched (that and I didn't want my dd to sleep on the couch for the week).

TIA!
Michelle

 Michelle! I just wanted to answer your question about the rollaway as we've had one several times at CBR and other resorts. As soon as you arrive in your room, call housekeeping and request a rollaway. They do not ask questions and sometimes do not charge when it is for a child. (I'm not saying this to try to get away with something as many DISers will perceive, but when the rollaway is for a child, sometimes housekeeping will not add the charge.)

If you add it to your reservation request or ask at check-in you will be charged and may have to put up with a CM who decides to ask a lot of questions. As much as we've enjoyed CBR since it opened in 1988, we have found the least helpful or friendly CM's there, especially at check-in.

Others will offer different advice about this, but we've had the very best experience calling housekeeping directly - also, they bring it up right away, so the request does not get lost. :)

I'll let others reply to the refillable mug question (it's good for the stay when it is purchased) and food court - which we found okay, but not great.

The resort is beautiful!! Truly like a vacation within a vacation!! have a wonderful trip!! :goodvibes :flower3:

That's awesome ~ 2 birthdays, WDW and CBR!! :cool1: Surprise trips are so fun! We surprised our kids with our most recent trip!! :yay::yay:

I'm not sure where we are staying next year. Maybe BCV. Always wanted to try a deluxe. We'll see what the future holds for us. Of course we would all be thrilled to go back to CBR too. I want to try a pirate room at least once! pirate:
