Can anyone tell me if CBR has the largest sand bottom pool in the country/world??? Read it as a rumor and want to use it as part of a scavenger hunt this fall. TIA!

I think you are thinking of the Beach Club pool. . . The CBR pool doesn't have a sand bottom.

And I for 1 am very happy about that! I'm not a huge fan of sand with a bathing suit in places that God didn't mean sand to go (if you know what I mean!) :lmao:

No, thats Beach Club/Yacht Club its called Storm along bay.
:headache: D'OH! Thanks guys. I guess I shouldn't read anything before 8 a.m.!

Thanks Leaf fan for your review. This is our first stay at CBR and you answered many of my questions. :thumbsup2

Any idea if they've come out with the new refillable mugs yet?

I am not positive but I remember Kathy mentioning them in the podcast a couple of months ago.

When we were there last month the mugs were white with a red border (that had the characters in it) that took up most of the cup. Then you could get a different colored handle/lid to differentiate your cup from other members of your party. The colors of the handles and lids were either black, red or yellow...

lemme see if I can find a pic...

here it is...according to a blog update by Kathy she first noticed these around July 2009 and these are the same ones we saw in Feb 2010

we didn't see any of the mugs from the second pic while we were there last month

Another question:

Last time we stayed onsite we drove in from NJ, checked in and left all of our stuff in our car while we hit the parks.

This time we are flying and taking ME. I will have my purse and carry on stuff. I know they will keep my carry on but what can I do with my purse after check in??? I really don't want to haul my purse into the parks. Do they keep it with my carry on's?? Will it be safe?? Should I stuff it into my carry on also??

Thanks. The mugs from the first pic are the ones we got when we went in September. Hoping the new ones come out before we get there in a month. I love getting new mugs.

i know this may stir up a debate but if you still have the old mugs and they are the mugs that are still being used well then...

J/k everyone!

after check in you can leave it in your room if you'd like. After check out you could leave it with bell services along with your carry on. I personally have never heard of anyone having issues with bell services but if you don't feel comfortable you could always rent a locker at the park for that last day.

You could bring a lock with you and put it in your bag you are leaving with bell services...or you could throw it in a locker at the parks?

Why don't you just leave your purse at home?

When we fly to Disney World, I carry on my roller bag and then whatever bag I'm going to carry in the parks with whatever I intend to carry in the parks. I leave my regular purse and stacks of random credit cards and keys and whatever else at home. So when we get to the resort, I just give them my roller bag and me and my park stuff head out. :) I usually just carry a small wristlet kinda thing at the park, if anything, so I have that with my ID, credit card, passes, and cell phone.

I don't bring a purse either... I just bring my small camera bag which I can put our money, camera, credit card, hand sanitize, & lip balm in...

Off topic but one of my friends was going to Mexico last week. She was bringing her suitcase & back pack. She kept saying..yes, but I can't bring my purse because my back pack is my personal item... I said you can put your purse inside your backpack...but why do you need a purse? She thought for a couple of minute..:idea:you could see the confusion on her face. then said I guess I don't need my purse. I can put those items in a smaller bag.

DOHHHH!!! Why hadn't I ever thought of that! :lmao:

I will carry my wristlet for the airport and my lanyard for the parks! Last time we drove so I sort of needed my purse. Plus I will feel so odd without it but I'm sure I will enjoy it! :thumbsup2
