I'm sorry this has been answered elsewhere - but here goes anyway :) We will be using DME to and fro the airport - when we check our luggage at CBR on the way out, is that at the Custom House ? If so - how long is the walk there from Trinidad South ? Will they transport our luggage there for us ? I'd kind of like to walk - but dh might not agree :)

Yes you check in for DME at the Custom House and check in your luggage. No, I don't think you will want to walk from Trinidad South. We were in Jamaica and called for Bell Services. Maybe we could have walked but I would have gotten lost. If I recall TS is on the far opposite side? Besides with the luggage it will be even harder to walk.

I think we called the night before for a Bell Services to come at 6 am. He was there right on time and helped us load into a van.

I agree with bjscheel ... you'll want to call Bell Services to pick you and your bags up at your room. Trinidad South and the Custom House are at two completely opposite ends of this rather spread-out resort.

And taking the resort's internal shuttle (bus) isn't an option because luggage is not permitted on Disney Transport buses.

The sleep deprived night has arrived. An 8 hour drive from AL to CBR is all that is left. Should be there at 2.

Put two excited princesses in bed an hour ago.

Will report out during the week!

We are going in July 26-August 6..
We would like to know how many cups the coffee maker makes? Also if we wanted to take a cab to say Walmart does anyone have any information on the fare we would pay?

A travel agent told me that the food court at CBR now figures the tip in with the price of your food. Does anyone that has been there recently know if this is true? We were there last June and it wasn't that way. I hadn't read where they had changed it.

huh? I haven't heard about cbr changing..? I know Coronado does it, but I thought it was because it was a convention center and they got your drinks & seated you.

No they don't figure in the tip at CBR. No one seats you and gets your drinks like they do at CSR. We ate there 2 weeks ago and just paid for the food.

You don't tip at the food court

I didn't think she was correct cause I hadn't seen anything on here about it. I questioned her twice about it but she insisted they were all like that now. This is one of the reasons I quit using a travel agent for disney. I feel they should know about Disney than I and ususally they don't. I will still use them for places I know nothing about but since I have been on here I book everything myself.

Enjoy these years- they are some of the best. My princesses are now 18 and 19 but they turned into the little girls they once were as soon as a CM called them "princess" at the DME desk. It worked on my wife too, so then I had 3 little girls to look out for!:)

Do you think that paying for preferred is worth the extra cost? Or is the walk from a non-preferred building not that bad?

We have never paid for preferred and have had an under 5 minute walk to everything both times we have stayed at CBR. I personally wouldn't pay for preferred, because we walked from TS (the furthest village out) to OPR in about 7 minutes. Not a big deal to us! Plus we love the walks and the beautiful grounds. :goodvibes But some people swear by booking preferred so they can be right on either side of OPR, so it's a nice option to have. I wish we would have had the option at OKW. :upsidedow

I haven't been to CBR yet, but did stay at POR and was put very far from everything. Didn't want to chance it this time around since my family never wanted to try a mod again!

Hi,

I just switched from the Pop Century to CBR. With the room discount we end up not paying too much more. We are a grand gathering of 8 people maybe more, as DF family has yet to book. We will be staying two weeks 24 Jul - 7 Aug 2010.

We will celebrate three Birthdays while we are there. Two 16 year olds and my Sister.

My DF and I will also be getting married with an Escape at the Wedding Pavillion on 3 Aug 10.

I have not stayed here before - I guess I also need to change my signature!

Very excited

This is another "it's probably been answered here somewhere before here, but I can't find it" question - how much is it to do a load of laundry at CBR? I am one of two co-planners for our 16-person grand gathering, and I have some folks that are detail oriented. ;) I'd like to head off a few questions when I mention that there are plenty of laundry facilities at the hotel.

Thanks to all the CBR experts who post so regularly here - it's a great source of information for those of us trying this resort for the first time!

The last time I was there they were $2 each.
