I was asked by my nephew to help him plan a vacation to "someplace warm, beachy" with his girlfriend...probably traveling the end of Feb. Since it isn't Disney, I am not exactly an expert on this! Any suggestions for somewhat affordable, good resorts? I don't want cheap, just not outrageous! I was thinking all-inclusive, since it would be easier overall, but tell me if I am wrong!
THANKS! :thumbsup2

I have been to Sandals Montego Bay. We loved it. Very clean and nice resort. Tons of amenities. Not too pricey, depending on when you travel.

Negril in Jamaica is beautiful. My only hesitation with Jamaica is that if you really want to explore outside your resort, parts of Jamaica can be very sketchy.

DH and I both like Barbados, Antigua, and the Mexican Rivieria. The Iberostar resorts are very nice and are affordable. I would highly recommend going to one of them.

The most reasonable prices would me in the Dominican Republic. Try looking on vacationstogo.com and go to their resort section.

What are the passport rules now? I know they keep changing?! I am not sure if they have passports.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far! I am checking on them, although Hedonism is a bit too :scared1: for him; he is pretty conservative!

Was at Sandals Grande in St. Lucia with my wife, and we just loved it. Stay at one, play at all 3. I think a Driver's License and birth certificate will still work, but it is MUCH easier with a passport.

I would tell them to get passports. My husband works out of St Croix sometime and even though they say you don't need a passport he had to have one. It is better to have at and not need it then to need it and not have it.JMO

My wife and I went to the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico and like it. The cool part of staying there is that included in the price are 2 or 3 free trips to local Mayan ruins, so you get a bit of local culture and history thrown in.

DH and I have been to many of the Sandals resorts in Jamaica as well as Couples Negril.

The Sandals resorts are very nice with many ammenities. For the younger crowd I would suggest Negril, lots of fun and a little more nightlife.

Thanks everyone! I just texted my nephew and his girlfriend has a passport, he does not. He is re-thinking where/when he wants to go (time to get a passport, vs. just go somewhere it is not needed...) I have enjoyed researching all these places! Thanks for the tips, now I want to go! :rotfl2:
