Car Seat Laws Florida

We live in NC.
Our new law states that a child must be in a booster seat until the age of 8, or 70 pounds (I think). My son turns 7 the day we leave.
Anyway, just wondering what the car seat laws are in SC, GA, and Florida? For safty reasons, I'll keep him in the booster seat, but was wondering if I could just buckle him up in the seat belt to and from the park?
