To anyone looking for car rental deals, my rental has dropped in price 7 times since I booked it in June. We pick up the car on Saturday. I use Costco and it has moved between companies but we started at $345 for an intermediate SUV and are now at $224 for the same car. Always, always, always, keep checking.

I’m now on my third booking (Alamo through Costco) for a trip in early November. I expect the price may drop again before we travel.

If you haven't already, log your rental through AutoSlash.com They will track the rental for you and let you know if it goes down.

I used Costco and received a very good deal. While reading this thread, I noticed another poster using Costco with a booking of the same time period as I with a lower rate and they had two more days booked than I did. So I added two more days and my booking went down $50. Who knew you could add days and get a lower rate.

Anyone ever do ok with Priceline for car rentals? Their prices seem much better than AAA. We only need a rental for 4 days before our DCL cruise in April with a pickup in Jacksonville going to Orlando, and then dropping off at Port Canaveral. Any pointers would be great, it's been a while since I rented a car!
