Car Rental vs. Taxi

We are staying at the All Star Music February 1-9, 2005. We plan to basically stay inside Disney, other than venturing out 2 days to go to Seaworld and Universal. We have a car rental for $300 for the week. Is it better to getting a shuttle to and from the airport and just take a taxi or car rental for those 2 days? Are taxis too expensive to be taken from WDW to Universal? We are a family of 4.

You can rent a car for the day at both the Dolphin and Car Care center. Might be cheaper than renting for a whole week.
