Car rental return near Poly

To make a long story short, we will be renting a car at the airport and returning it while staying at Poly. Since we are renting at the airport, we'll have plenty of choices as to who to rent from - can you tell me what car rental place(s) have return locations closest to Poly? Thanks!

A few years ago I stayed at the Contemporary and I rented from National. I picked up the car at the Car Care Center. I returned this car at the Tampa Airport since I visited my Mom after Disney. The front desk called a van for us to go to the car care center. Ask the front desk how to get a van from the Car Care Center back to the Poly. The rental companies that are at the Car Care Center are National and Alamo.

Alamo has a counter at the Shades of Green. It's walkable from the Poly.

We have used Alamo from the Car Care Center while staying at the Poly. They said they'd send someone to pick us up when we called the night before our rental. We rented a minivan (party of 7 back then) and thought they'd just send a towncar to get the my dad as he was the designated driver (which is what we were used to from the past). Instead they sent a van so all of us could go pick up the car and be on our way right way!

You will need to return the car during their office hours to take advantage of their shuttle back to the hotel though. Outside office hours, you can just drop of the car but no shuttle service.

If you need to return a car outside office hours, I would look at renting from the Swan & Dolphin Hotel. Alamo and National also have offices their and there'll be transportation back to the Poly even after office hours.

If the Disney Car Care Center won't work for you, this is the best option.

or Dollar at the Wyndam on hotel row across from Downtown Disney. Can walk it back to Downtown Disney and take the Bus back to Poly.

Yes, the Wyndam is an option, but IMO require too much time traveling when staying at the Poly. Especially given that there are much closer and more convenient options. On vacation at WDW, time = $$.
