Car inspections and windshield cracks-UPDATE!

Called my insurance company who said that yes, it would be covered with $100 deductible. Repair place is coming out tomorrow to fix it. Yeah!! Thanks Dis'ers - you are the best!!!

Speaking from experience -after they've repaired the damage - leave your windows open a crack to help ventilate the car. The adhesives they use are just plain nasty smelling.

I'm glad you're getting it fixed and at a decent price! Insurance is a great thing isn't it.

I've had numerous windshields replaced and never had to pay a penny...they come right to the house or to my job-wherever I am that day-and replace it right there...glass is the only thing I have never had a deductible on...

It depends on how your policy is written and what state you are in. I work for an insurance company and I remember when I was doing premium rating that some states had a full coverage glass option for a small additional premium.
