Has anyone ever eaten here? Even though I have stayed at the Beach Club twice now, never gotten around to there or the Beaches n' Cream.

Should I eat dinner here or pick somewhere over in the Epcot area? I currently have an ADR for San Angel Inn (feeling a little wishy washy over that one).

A decent, unspectacular hotel restaurant with good service, fine for an unrushed sit-down meal. It's not a place I would go out of my way to find, but you don't need an ADR either.

Dinner was very good here. Service was excellent . We did need adr for here and they were for 6:00pm. Now when we left I heard the lady tell people there was a 2 to 2 1/2 hr wait. So with that said if your going and really going anywhere in Disney I would always make Adr's. To me it's better to be safe than sorry. And we would go back again. :thumbsup2

As with all things Disney, needing an ADR on the same day depends on the time of year of your visit.

We had dinner there in April and loved it, tons of pics in my April thread.

If I had to choose lunch I would pick Beaches and Cream but for dinner CG is awesome

I ate dinner there last Dec and it was fine..nothing spectacular but good.
Then, last weekend we had a family lunch there, with birthday cake. The menu was just okay, but I will say that the food we got was quite good. My dd got a cheeseburger and it was good according to her. I had a tomato/mozzarella sandwich that was really better than I had thought it would be.

We had an ADR right at opening for lunch. When we left about an hour or so later, it was still pretty empty. That was probably about 12:30-1:00ish.

I think it's a best kept secret. We never need a ADR, it always seems empty (I've never been there during the summer though). The food is good, nothing terrible new or different (I hate that disney is homogonizing all the menus) but very tasty. Try breakfast there one day, they had a crab benedit that was too die for.

Captain's Grille.. we tried it once but it was the night we arrived after a long flight so hard to be fair.. thought it was good food.. but...
The main reason we stay at Beach Club is, no kidding, because it's so close to the restaurants at WS. The atmosphere of the showcase seems to change everything for us, from the moment we walk in until we leave, so we make a point of eating there as often as makes sense and we enjoy it all so much. We do sometimes hit Beaches and Cream on the way back to the room for desert. Great place, and they have some take out.

Check out the Dis PodCast archives from a couple of weeks ago. They did a review. You don't need a iPod to listen, just speakers on your computer.

Well worth the listen. I won't eat there until I've heard the manager has been replaced.

I have not nor am I likely to listen to the podcast, but deciding not to try a Disney restaurant because someone was unimpressed with a manager isn't my style. As you can see lots of PPs liked their meal at Captain's Grille, not raves, but they liked it.

I have taken the podcast review into account when we booked Narcoossee's and agreed the place was amazing. I ignored them and booked Coral Reef and we really liked that place as well; ate everything in site, yikes...lol

We ate at CG this past August. We really enjoyed our meal & took our time...we there almost 3 hours.
