Pink is a good color, the dress is classic in design & should look good in a variety of figures. It looks like it's at least partially cut on the bias, which tends to look good on most figure types. The sleeves will draw the eye upwards. I'd say go for it if it makes you happy.

I'm in for the losing game. I work 50 hours +/- a week and have a kid, so time is one thing I need to manage closely. On the days that DH doesn't have a call (he's in service) I can do what I did today - get up hit the gym by 5:30, swim 3/4 of a mile and still make it into work early.

I've also decided that I need to start walking 1/2 an hour at lunch every day. I'm counting on you guys to help keep me honest. I'm aiming at 20 lbs down by August.

Nicole and Diane.. don't give up! I completely understand...I can't believe that I am again in the same situation. A year and a half ago I had lost a bunch of weight for my Hawaii cruise and now..I gained it all back and then some. Hang in there...the one thing I do now is make sure that none of my favorite snacks are even in the house. I work out of my home so unfortunately, my kitchen is right there ALL the time. Keep drinking water and get what exercise you can. I always say "I'm going to start Monday...and then the next Monday" I am saddened that I have only lost 15 pounds since January 2nd but I am trying to look at it as that is 15 less pounds I have to lose (and I have to lose almost 100 pounds to be healthy!)

Hopefully we will stay motivated together! :banana:

I am having a bad week. I haven't made it to any of my classes and haven't even done a walk. I did do 30 minutes on a bike. I am calling my friend right now to tell her I won't make our class today.

I am going to sign up for Weight Watchers online today though! (The funny thing is that the reason I haven't exercised is that I am stressed at work and that wouldn't be so bad if I actually exercised. Oh well. I will go better tomorrow. :)
 

Thanks M! I listened to your advice & joined WW...AGAIN! :rolleyes: This time I am doing it on-line & trying the Core plan. It's a bit confusing, but I'll figure it out! Already called DH & told him to bring home lean beef for those burgers on the grill tonight & some 94% fat free popcorn. I love popcorn! popcorn::

Day 2 Diane - How's it goin'????

Yesterday was a killer. The sandwich I ate at lunch burned about 2/3 of my points for the day. All I could have for dinner was a salad and I woke up STARVING around 1:30am. :sad2: Did better today, but I'll do better once I get into the groove.

The first week or two are evil. WW really works for me, but it is like exercise. The first week or 2 back is awful, but then you get in a groove and it becomes part of your normal life.

I'm short and now a 'healthy' weight - I just want to be on the lower end of my healthy range, since I have a pretty small frame. I get a whopping 18 points a day. You wanna talk starving????

Okay, didn't sign up for WW yesterday and a good thing. I have a bug and I feel like carp! I had to take the dog and my kittens to the vet. $650 later, we left. FUN! :scared1: :scared1:

On the way home I got McDonalds, came home with little DD3 and crawled into bed. Watched a cute Mothers day Diego and we both took a nap.

I am officially a lame loser. But, I am okay with it because I know these things happen. Tomorrow will be the big day. I am going back to bed!

Has it only been 2 days? I'm starving!!! :rotfl2: Seriously I'm doing good. Tried the core plan, but too limiting to me so went back to the flex plan. I really like the WW's on-line because I get a "true" reading of my points. For example, I drink coffee with splenda every morning, which I only counted about a point for the fat free cream, but really the splenda ends up having points if you put enough of it in your coffee. Who knew? :confused3

Went out to dinner with some friends last night & had a ceasar salad w/ shirmp & I had a martini instead of a couple of glasses of wine. Almost straight booze so not a lot of points. See what great choices I'm making? :lmao:

Eating the 94% fat free popcorn helps hold me over till dinner. I just keep thinking that I really want to at least feel more comfortable by the time the cruise rolls around so it's keeping me on track. Lost a pound! :woohoo:

On the up-side, I've found that if I work a lot at work, I forget to get hungry. Not that I don't normally work a lot at work, but like today for instance.... In about three weeks, we're anticipating having to move our department from the building we're renting space in to move our main office. Today, one of the other gals and I decided to dress down and pack up stuff that's not being used. We have three employees no longer with us and no replacements hired yet, so there's a bunch of junk to go through. I'm usually starving by lunch but not today. We packed 10 boxes before I even looked at the clock and it was lunchtime. I ended up skipping my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks, not because I wanted to, but because I just had no clue what time it was. Didn't even eat all my lunch, UNO was more important (my co-worker cheats). Then after lunch, we got into a groove again and missed my mid-afternoon snack. Now I'm stuck with sooooo many points I'm going out for pizza. Gotta find my groove, but have definitely lost since Monday!

Funny how being busy keeps you from being hungry huh? I find if I go out & run errands & shopping, I forget to eat too. But if I sit here & think about it, I'm staaaaarving!
 
Did a lot of shopping today, odds and ends mostly. Decided to try the dress on again when I got home and the official measurement is 2.5 inches. If I can loose 2.5 inches from my belly I can zip up that dress. I've never been concerned with inches before, so I'm not sure if that's possible. I hope so!

I signed up for Weight Watchers online. I get 20 points. I think I have done a good job. I love that I get extra points for exercising...I got 3 extra points. GO ME!

Anyway, I found and made a new recipie that is worth 6 points for dinner. I skipped the rolls so I could have a glass of wine! Tough decisions!

Anyway, keep going everyone. 3 months to go for me!!! :)

So since this time last week, I lost either 4 or 9 lbs. Woo Hoo! Reason I don't know for sure is because the starting weight seemed really off, but who knows. I've also decided to go through a detox program next week. Mostly just lots and lots of water, but I really think I need a good jump start to get me focused and centered. Will see how it goes. Hope everyone has a great week!

I'm still not going to fit into my wedding dress but I did buy a pretty dress in pink ..more like a suit kind of thing..but I bought it so it fits now and left the tag on..I am hoping I get to return it for a smaller size.

We shall see on the scale tomorrow! Today was the day my DD goes to school (she is homeschool except once a week she attends a school with other HS to take music, art and history) We always go out for lunch..today she wanted McDonalds :scared1:

I broke down but at the same time..was kind of proud of myself..ordered a kids meal and counted the points...so I did better then my usual BigMac!

Way to go, I took my kids to McD's the other day and I didn't get anything for myself! That was hard to do!

So, I weighed in this morning for the first time after my first week on WWonline and I lost 3.5 lbs! I am so excited. It was a GREAT first week. I ended up the week with 1 point left over (I used alot on Mothers Day) and I got in most of the exercise I wanted to.

I love the points tracking and the part I think I like about it the most is that it has me planning my meals for the day so I am not stuck at 7pm thinking, what am I going to eat? Because then you just eat whatever is around without much thought!
