Cape May Clam Bake

We love this meal!! It is one of our must dos. They have a great selection of both non seafood and seafood items. They also have all you can eat crab legs!! Not the best I ever had but a really good value in Disney!! My kids do not like seafood and found plenty to eat. We are doing QSDP this year (for the first time) and chose several meals OOP, this was the first meal we all chose!! The atmosphere is beachy and fun also!! :cool1: have a great vacay!

I do not eat any seafood. I know I am from New England. Lol!! Anyway I don't even like the smell in Cape May. BUT DH loves it. I can find enough to eat so I go to make him happy.

We looked at the menu and it seems to have several things for our non-seafood lovers and lots for those of us who do love seafood!

Love it! Great selection from soups, salads, mail courses, desserts (if you have room left). We went on a Wednesday night and they had a really nice selection including crab legs. Definitely recommend it.

It's our new favorite! In fact, just yesterday I was telling someone at work to try it, and last week I had the same conversation with someone else.

When we went last year, I gorged on the mussels, my husband on the crab legs, my son on the ribs and I forget what the girls had. But we loved it, and it's on our "MUST DO" list from this point onward.

I love seafood so this is a no-brainer for me. It also has enough other delicious stuff for those who don't eat seafood. I have found (over the course of a few trips) that many of the WDW menus & buffets include salmon as their fish of choice, but I think once a trip is enough. Cape May is a great choice for a shellfish lover.

We really enjoy Cape May, we feel dinner is fresh and good. You can find good fruit, salads, soup, fresh crisp green beans. It is a nice break from all the rich food at Disney during our trips. We really look forward to it.

We love it....it's one our favorites and is a must do for us every trip. The food is great, there's alot of variety (even if you don't eat seafood), and the atmosphere is nice. I would definitely recommend it.

Ok. All of you are making me really hungry. I think we'll definitely need to try it!

We're giving it a try this upcoming trip based on DISboards reviews!!:cool1:

And mainly because DS LOVES crab legs and there aren't many places in WDW to enjoy them!

NOTE: Average food quality. This is not the quality of a New England seafood
buffet. Due to the quality, the buffet is overpriced. They do have crab legs, but
they are smaller legs and the meat is REALLY stingy. Not high in quality at all,
but will do in a pinch, as will the clams/mussels. The clams are tasty, but are
the smaller Littleneck clams. Face it, you can't make big Disney profits if you use
high quality crab, clams, mussells on a medium-priced buffet. Since the rehab, ribs
are replaced with short ribs and the the key lime tarts are gone. Oreo Bon Bons
and Peanut Butter Cookies are also gone from the buffet, but can be purchased
in the resort's gift shop. As another way to cut costs, they have replaced the
corn-on-the-cob with niblets. Absolutely pitiful way to cut things !

The new rotation for the "fried food" daily specials section is:
. . . Sunday & Wednesday - fried shrimp
. . . Monday & Thursday - fried clam strips
. . . Tuesday & Friday - fried calamari
. . . Saturday, only - fried chef's choice (a fried seafood, not a fried chef)

Love! I don't like clams or mussels, but I love fish. DH likes the clams and mussels. It's got a great atmosphere too!

I had never been to Cape May until after the rehab; we were there on the 2nd or 3rd night after the reopening.

As a result, I saw nothing to complain about-- no missing the "good old days" or bemoaning the cuts. We just had a delightful meal with fresh, well cooked food and lots of variety. I'm looking forward to returning on our next trip.

I have been to CMCB two times and loved it both times. I have not been since 2008, so this June it is already one of my ADRs. I looked forward to seeing the refurbishing.

I also like the location, my family likes to take a walk around the lake after dinner. We check out the boardwalk entertainment. You can then walk right into Epcot or take a boat to the Studios.

Give it a try...:thumbsup2
