Can't get enough Disney?

I love all things Disney... the movies, the parks, the merchandise, you name it. I'm not a fanatic or anything but really it's something I could never tire of. We lived in So. Cal. up until a year ago and had AP's to Disneyland for one year and the rest of the time we would go at least twice a year. Now we live in MI and can drive to WDW! I am so excited but..... DH is less so. He likes it, don't get me wrong, just not to the extent I do.
I know after our upcoming trip in Nov. (can't wait!!!) he'll be set for a long time. We are talking years. And I know this trip will only want to make me go more and more. What to do? How to convince DH one trip every 5-10 years is not enough! Any of you in the same boat where one of you is far more enamored with Disney than the other? Share your stories, thoughts, advice.... Thanks!

My dh doesn't like it 1/2 as much as I do. His ideal disney dose would be once every 2-3 years. The last few years we've gone twice a year. He did finally break on our last trip and said no more for at least 1 full year. I agreed. So, I'm going through serious withdrawl. The plus side-- we're going in January. Also, it will of been 16 months since the last WDW trip, and even he is alittle excited now too!

Best bet, try to compromise.

Ditto all of this- except I found a loophole around that- solo trips (in the past) and trips with just me and the kids (recently/this year). :rotfl: He's fine with that- as long as HE doesn't have to go more often. LOL I am compromising too though- our next trip is the Disney Cruise where he'll get to do things he likes -like scuba diving (I won't be joining him! No sharkies for me please LOL) and our next family trip to WDW will most likely be driving (bah humbug- hate the thought of driving again!) pulling our travel trailer and staying at FW- so he can do things like fishing/etc. It's all about compromise if I ever want to drag his butt there again. LOL

I'm like the OP mentioned though... I've been a diehard Mickey/etc. fan since practically birth (can't remember when it started) and wanted to go to Disneyland and/or WDW my entire childhood and wasn't able to. I'm making up for lost time since hitting my 30's and going for the first time in 2002! I do like pretty much anything Disney though- clothing, movies, etc.

My DD & I go ourselves, my DH went once & will not go back. I wish I could go more than once a year, I guess I'll have to be content with that.

I've been lucky enough to go once a year for the past three years. However, I currently have no trips planned, due to financial difficulties and an unstable employment situation. I'm hoping to go again in June 2006, but we'll see.

That said, solo trips do seem to be the way to go if DH doesn't want to go more often.. Thing is, my GF Nikkie is just as much of a WDW fanatic as me, and I'd feel guilty leaving her behind. :)

My DH is a real sweetheart! I was a Disney nut when I married him, but we couldn't afford to go. He's not as crazy about Disney as I am. Fast forward quite a few years and five kids later, and he has sent me and the kids down 3 times in the last 2 years. He even works 3 jobs in order to make it happen. Guess I found my Prince Charming...by the way, we celebrated 18 years of marriage yesterday  :love2:

anyone else out there whose spouse or significant other doesn't like Disney as much as you do?
