Can't decide between BCV and BLT

Just found out that both BCV and BLT both have 2br available for the end of our 8 day trip in April. We will be staying at AKV to start the trip and then would like to switch to BCV or BLT. We have all agreed on doing a split stay.

We are thinking about adding on at BCV someday so would like to stay there to try it out, but I plan on going to Star Wars Weekend in 2011 so would like to stay there that time to be close to DHS (I know BWV is a bit closer but we really like BCV). We own at BLT, so we can stay there anytime but since it is new, and we own there, I would like to check it out.

DW doesn't care either way, she's just psyched to be going again.

Well, I've got 4 days to figure it out. Wish me luck!

We've done Star War's week-end, yes count them, 3 years in a row! DS(soon to be 13) assures me that this past June was "probably" the last time.

The 1st year we went from OKW, it's tough getting there at rope drop by having to take the bus. The following year we went from BCV and this year from BWV, boy was it faster and less hassle. If you want autographs you will need to be there at rope drop and it's a dream if you're coming from the Boardwalk area.

As you say, you can stay at BLT any time and for Star Wars Week-End, the Boardwalk area is a better choice, at least IMO!

I would do Star Wars Weekend next year. There is a good chance that it might not be offered in 2011. In 2011 you might have a Spider-Man weekend instead.

I'd do BCV for two reasons:

1) It is harder to get at the 7 month window than most of the other properties (I'd even suggest impossible to get in peak time periods).
2) You can get Stormalong Bay out of your system which is one of the three reasons to stay at BCV in my book (proximity to Epcot and Beaches & Cream are the other two).

Is there a point difference? I think since you want to go to BCV for the Star Wars weekend then I would pick BLT for your April trip. Also, being that you are staying at AKV for half of your trip you will already be close to the other parks. I would say hop over to BLT to spend time in MK! You can still hop the monorail to Epcot and walk to MK! Besides you own there! Don't you want to go home?

Of course, I just picked BWV over BLT today for Easter. (we are waitlisted for BCV) But only because we are going to BLT for Thanksgiving! Crossing fingers!

I think i'd figure out which parks/restaurants I want to visit on those days, and then chose which is more accomodating transportation-wise.
