HELP!!!
Has anyone got or ever used this camera? :confused3

They have it within my price range on Amazon and all the reviews on there and other sites seem good.

Does anyone have any views on it?
I really wanted to know if it takes good night shots, as we are going to Las Vegas and DL in November and obviously we will take many night shots!

:thumbsup2 Thanks in advance!

my daughter has this and so far it's been great..only saw one night shot but it was very good( inside her barn at night, thinking it must have been flash but it was from probably 20 ft away and good). she isn't the picture freak i am( she took 4 photos on a weeks vacation while i am taking 8gb for 2 wks and planning on using them all :lmao: ) but all i have seen have been good from it

i am considering buying this for my husband to use for work unless the s2 gets cheaper

I researched cameras last year and purchased this. I generally do point and shoot. I have done a little bit of fooling with the settings. I have been very, very pleased with it and have had some wonderful comments about my photography. Here are a few good shots it has done.

you may want to check around...Amazon usually is not the best price...i just checked and it was 285 , Beach ( have been great) was 255 ( was 220 in may so weird the price has gone up) check out pricegrabber then check out the store on reseller...you probably can get it cheaper than amazon. if i was going to pay 285 i'd get the s2IS...little larger but 12x, same sensor( good pics) and IS to boot for around the same slightly under 300 price

I have the A620, bought it in February. I think it's great. It takes wonderful quality pics, especially for the price. If you want high ISO capabilities, you might want to look at another camera as 400 is grainy. But you can get a small, very lightweight tripod at http://www.joby.com/ for your low-light shots and avoid camera shake.

Thanks everyone for all your help with the camera, unfortunatley I am from the UK so have to buy it here and Amazon seems to be a good price and at least you can trust them!

daannzzz - great pics, really loved the night shot of CA, really makes me wanna get the camera asap and practice, practice, practice!

I have the Canon A620 and I really like it a lot. It takes really good pictures. I haven't taken many at night though. I've taken 2 or 3 at night and they turned out pretty good. I haven't used all the features it has yet, but I'm very satisified with it! I've had it since June. Hope this helps!
