Has anyone had a candy bar at their DP or know anything about this? I think this would be a lot of fun but have no idea what Disney charges for something like this.

For some reason the number $2,000 stands out as a starting point for candy bar's done by Disney. We did one at our private welcome party (not by Disney), and were able to do it for much cheaper. Much, much less $.

How were you able to go through someone outside of Disney? Where was your DP?

We had our welcome party in a suite at the akl, so we were able to provide all the food and create our own candy bar.

Our dp was in epcot but we did not have a candy bar there because of cost!

We had a candy bar at the dessert party. It doubled as a favor and our guests loved it! The candy is priced differently depending on what you choose, ranging from $30-$100+. It's sold in bulk packages of 5 lbs, 100 pieces, etc. depending on the candy. Based on the ones we chose (taffy, caramel creams, etc.), it really wasn't much more than if we had purchased the candy ourselves and it would've been a hassle bring that much candy on the plane. We were allowed to bring in candy if we wanted to - perhaps because it was a favor, and it went through floral. I definitely recommend it!
