candles in nonsmoking rooms?

When I purchased a candle in a resort gift shop I asked about burning it in the room and it was not as issue.

Maybe not an issue for the gift shop staff, but certainly an issue for the hotel manager! What I mean is, the gift shop staff probably aren't trained to answer such a question or have such detailed knowledge of hotel policies.

I wanna know more about those candle warmer things... how do they work?

A candle warmer plugs in and has a small plate that heats up the candle to melt the wax and release the fragrance without you having to burn the candle. They also extend the life of the candle.

yeah def. i think it would not be a very good idea, esp. in case of a fire. god.....what a disaster that would be. and also the smell, maybe other people would be allergic, so maybe some type of spray or something else. just to play it safe.

Do these things have an automatic shut off? How hot do they get and do they stay hot until you shut them off? I know lots of people who get mug warmers and we don't allow those in our hospital because they don't shut off automatically if anything sits on the warmer.
