Candlelight Processional?

Hi everyone,
I know this has been posted a million times, but what exactly is the Candlelight Processional?
Will it be boring for my 5yr? This will be our first Christmas at Disney and although my kids love Epcot I was wondering if I should book the package or skip the show.
My 5yr ds is really good at watching a show like Fantasmic or any of the other shows at WDW but I was wondering if this would keep his attention.
