Trying to remember but I thought it gets dark around 5:30 or 6 that time of the year. I'm thinking it would be better when it is dark. Thoughts please

We were at an early show a few days before Christmas. It wasn't dark when it started. It was kind of half dark when it ended. I think I would have enjoyed it more in the dark.

I agree. Went to an early show in 2012, same thing; light out when it started, had begun getting dark when it was over. Later in the week we saw the 2nd show (6:45? Can't remember) and it was dark the whole time. I enjoyed both but it was better in the dark :)

It is definitely not dark when it starts but goes through dusk and then mostly dark. I didn't know if I would like it either (I have been to later shows) but I really did like the 5:00 going through the lighting changes. I also liked that from the line I could not hear the previous show so everything was fresh and "new" to me.

Good point. :goodvibes

Also, if you plan to take any photos, my experience has been that they turn out better at the earlier show when it's not completely dark. Doesn't seem to matter what camera I'm using either. Even though I have a DSLR that sees very well in the dark, the lighting just doesn't seem as harsh when there is still some daylight around. This can be very important if you are a big fan of your narrator and want some good photos to take home. Add in the fact that if you're doing the package, the lunch packages are usually less expensive, and the early show is a win-win for me.
