Candlelight Processional 2024

For someone like Neil Patrick Harris, if you don't get a dining package, people in standby line wait a long time to get in.
If at all, he's that popular for CP. same with John stamos
My guess is they will announce on Thursday!
Sounds good to me

Cranky, as our ADR day is tomorrow. A pain to book things, then scramble to switch them around once narrators are announced

Doers anyone know if the CP has dates in early January? Or does it end in December?

No - dates correspond to the Festival of the Holidays, which ends Dec 30.
Thank you. I was afraid of that, but we are there on Jan 5 so I was hoping for a few days into the New year.

I was hoping for that too based on when it was released last year. It's getting later in the day though. Sigh.
Ya I’m bummed. Most people want to get their reservations situated. I wonder if they are still trying to secure narrators?

Do we think (tomorrow) Friday is possible, or would they be likely to save the announcement for next week?

Depends on who the narrator is, or how long you are willing to stand in line the evening of the show. For someone like Neil Patrick Harris, if you don't get a dining package, people in standby line wait a long time to get

For Neil Patrick Harris we saw people start lining up when Epcot opened in the morning! By noon there were a surprising number of people in line.

I have decided that I am only going to stay for the CP (with a dining package) if it is John Stamos or Brendan Fraser during our dates. Otherwise, we will leave Epcot a little earlier to go look at the Christmas Tree Stroll at DS. Come on schedule! We did see NPH at the CP last year with a dining package (Biergarten) and that was super cool!

I saw Joey McIntyre last year! As a 30+ year long block head, it was amazing! NPH was great too. My next goal is to see John Stamos.

We saw Marlee Matlin last year and it was so much better than I expected. Her interpreter did the vocalization and she did it in sign language. It added a beautiful new dimension to the Candlelight processional for us.

I just booked another HEA dessert party so for my wallet’s sake I hope the narrators during my trip aren’t people I’ve heard of :rotfl:

But seriously….please Disney, announce soon!

We will be there 12/8-12th, mainly for MVMCP on the 10th. I have never seen the CP and am thinking of adding an Epcot day. What are the chances of getting in as standby with only waiting in line 45 minutes? I don’t love the usual choices for dinning packages and hate to spend our only day in Epcot eating somewhere I don’t really want to. If we don’t get in is there decent viewing/listening from outside? Any seating?

We have seen her and enjoyed the presentation as well!

Our family has done Festival of the Holidays every year since 2021, but we’re leaving WDW for a cruise out of FLL on Dec 26… I just cracked last night and booked brightline back to MCO so we can spend one night at Epcot after the cruise. Hoping we get a good narrator, but not NPH or Stamos because I want to be able to actually secure a dining reservation. 🤣

We willl be there on your exact dates! I’ve done CP with dining package once. Even with the package I waited, along with thousands of other, in the line for a good hour. I was so surprised that once at dining packages were admitted there were still seats. One year my son and I rested along the wall near the BBq place. You could kinda see and could hear the CP
