cancelling car hire

We have our car hire booked with Alamo,and I've just found it is now nearly £100 cheaper than what we've paid.

I read there was no charge for cancelling,but is it ok to cancel and then rebook all the same info?!

We want to use Alamo,so are we stuck with this,or can it be cancelled and rebooked with no problems?

Also,to cancel- is it an email,or how do you go about it?

You should be able to log into your account and cancel or get info how to cancel. Never done it with Alamo direct but there is usually instructions somewhere.

If you want to post dates/car size/price I will look around for a better price, you don't need to book direct with Alamo to get their cars, other agents are often cheaper than direct.

So,if we booked through an agent,we would still use Alamo for pickup and if any problems?
That's the main reason as we had an issue last year,and it was so easy to resolve at the car centre next to mk.

We want either suv/Ford escape or similar
or minivan/dodge caravan or similar.

Pick up is 2pm 9th August-at Sanford.
drop off 2pm 26th august

Best deals I see just now. Check cancellation policy before buying any, I don't like buying car rental more then 1-2 months before travelling unless I can cancel with no fee, a deal usually pops up.
