Cancelled first time ever...need prayers for my DH

Disneygal55...I'm so glad things went well with your husband's surgery. Im am sure you are both relieved to have that behind you. I will keep praying for the recovery phase...which can take time and patience.

Jekjones1558...I'll be sure to add you and your hubby to the prayers as well.

YES, continued GOOD THOUGHTS for SPEEDY RECOVERYS!!!:grouphug::flower3:
HOPE that you are back at WDW before you know it!:dance3:

Happy to hear the surgery went so well - hoping he also has a speedy recovery. Don't forget to take care of you, too! :)

Good news! My husband's surgery went really well and was very successful. The wonderful surgeons removed the benign tumor and were able to save hearing in the affected ear. There was also no facial numbness at all. I was able to see your posts on my android phone but when I tried to post back that he was doing well, the phone wouldn't let me post. I felt really bad because some of you asked how he was doing but I couldn't answer until we got home. He's on the couch in his pj's ready to watch Hawaii Five O...what a great sight! Thank you all for all of your prayers.

Happy to hear the surgery went well. Hoping for a speedy recovery.:goodvibes

I hear you. Ironically my DH is now in the hospital and, with luck, will be moving to a transitional care place tomorrow. He loves Halloween and we bought some new outside decorations but he missed it all. I sure would have liked to be at home with him tonight!

Hope your husband is doing better and is home soon.

That is great news and amazing they were able to save his hearing.

Oh my. I pray he gets better soon.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Jean, I hope that your husband is doing well...sending prayers so that he can come home soon.

Thanks, everyone, for the prayers and good wishes. I really don't want to hijack this thread. My DH had surgery on Thursday and has moved to rehab and will have follow up surgery on Wednesday--- so OP and I both have reason to celebrate!
Christine, I was so happy to light a candle at my home church tonight to thank God for the successful surgery of both of our husbands!

Jean, I can't believe that you were including my DH and me in your prayers when you also were going through your husband's surgery and hospitalization. You are so generous and thoughtful. Praying that your husband's follow up surgery goes well.

Glad that both surgeries turned out well both are recovering.
Jean I remember you being down her often in Oct at BWV like us in years past, hope you will be here soon again. You had kind words for me when I was going thru the prospect of surgery 5 years ago in Nov after my stay at BWV... now reaching the 5 year anniversary even better. :thumbsup2

Thank you Granman

Jean, how is your DH doing in rehab? I am praying for a safe and successful follow-up surgery for tomorrow. Please take care of yourself. Thank you for lighting a candle in church in behalf of my husband...I used to light candles in my family church when I was a young girl. It always felt so comforting to do that.

Disneygal, the rehab is not progressing as well as we had hoped. We are praying that after the surgery tomorrow he will turn a corner. I want you to know that I got the notification of your post just as I hung up talking to MS to verify that the last possible day to cancel our December trip without holding points is tomorrow. I have been holding out hope that we could still go but that is looking pretty unlikely right now. Your kind thoughts and prayers make that easier to swallow. Here's to the miraculous benefits of rehab!

Jean, you can call me Chris if you want. I am so sorry that the rehab isn't going well. What kind of rehab is it? I am praying that your husband has a very successful surgery tomorrow and that he will get better quickly. I hated to cancel our Anniversary trip for November but knew I had no choice. He won't be able to travel for a few months and I wanted him to feel healthy enough to really enjoy himself. We will have a celebration trip next year. Believe me...it was tough cancelling our DVC reservation. We were able to get an airline credit because of his illness and surgery. I was able to get a refund on our MVMCP tickets because of the situation also. I then had to cancel every ADR and FP+ one at a time...18 FP+. Figured someone else might enjoy them. I hope that you can keep your reservations, but if you can't you can always reschedule another trip for the future. Take care of yourself, Jean. I felt so run down during my DH's surgery and now his recovery...we have to keep ourselves strong right?

Chris, thanks for the shoulder to lean on. Therapy actually went better today! DH will lose some ground for a few days following surgery but we have hope. I am going to wait until the last minute to cancel. If I feel that keeping the reservation will boost his spirits then I may do that. We also have Cirque tickets, CP reservations, etc. but I will deal with all of that as need be. I am also feeling run down, partly from stress and partly from not sleeping well. All these things shall pass, right? We just need to get our men-folk up and around!

Sorry to hear about that your husband's health has worsened. Sending all the good vibes I can that he will improve and feel better soon. Those up and down days can be really hard the morale for the patient as well as the family especially with a long term illness. Keeping positive can be hard. Take care Jean. We all wish you both the best.

Continued Luck and Good Progress in the road ahead with your husbands' recoveries!:thumbsup2:wizard::wizard:

Hope that an AWESOME trip to WDW will be in the future SOON for both of your families!:):dance3:
