Cancellations and MS

Are MS's computers updated through out the day or at a certain time. I was just wondering if when someone cancels their ressies how quickly they get placed back into the system for another to get. Do you think it is immediately or updated at certain times of the day? I am not waitlisted because I am past the thirty day mark and was wondering the best time to call. Thanks.

While the waitlist does clear itself at 30 days (and again at 7 days), call MS and ask to be placed back on the waitlist. They don't keep your name there automatically, but the waitlist does still exist.

If you are within 30 days, I'd also consider calling a couple of times each week (just to let them know you're serious ). If you still haven't heard anything with about 2 weeks to go- I'd call daily.

I don't know that there is a better time of the day to call- cancellations occur throughout the day.

Thanks Webmaster Doc! Today, I was lucky to get a 2 bedroom villa for two of the three nights we are staying at HHI. The third night is still in a studio and I am hoping to snag a two bedroom either by points or cash. Unfortunately, I need it for the beginning of next week. I am keeping the faith and if it happens great, if not, I will not let it ruin by trip. Hey, I am going to HHI for the very first time

Your chances of doing what you desire are much, much better than looking for a 1BR or Studio! There are very, very few studios and 1BR's at HH, so if you are going to get a cancellation the chances are better that a 2BR becomes available.

Thank you all for the words of encouragment! About an hour ago, the two bedroom became available with the help of a kind cm at HHI. No switching rooms and the kids will have alot of room!

When I waitlisted for my one missing night, the CM asked if I wanted to stay on the waitlist until 30 days prior or 7 days prior; I said 7, and she said that up until 7 days prior to check-in, we'd get an automatic confirmation should the waitlist come through. So, should I worry now? Or, should I believe we will be on it until 7 days prior?

CaliforniaDreaming, I am not sure when and where you are wait listed. As I said, I only made my ressies this week and was able to get what I wanted. It was after 7 days and I had to keep calling. Yesterday and today I called MS approximately 5 times eacy day and it paid off. When you have less than 7 days, you just have to keep calling. You never know when there will be a cancellation. I felt at times that I was bothering MS and they said that is what they are there for. I did write an email to member services in regards to three oustanding CM's. Lisa and Luwanda from MS and Amanda from HHI. These three are outstanding and I told them so. They made my trip possible. Good luck.

CaliforniaDreaming - My advice is to call at the 30 day mark if nothing has come through by then. It certainly cannot hurt to reiterate your request - just to make sure you stay on the waitlist. That call will make you feel a little better, too.
