Canadian AP holders

I've been emailing the passholder email address this week. They confirmed that it's Canadian privacy laws that doesn't allow Canadians to receive emails, even if we opted in on the website. Seems like there's nothing we can do about this. :(
No, it doesn’t seem like we do anything about it :sad: Came from their legal team. But I did a little reading and it does say if you opt in to receiving then that company can send you their stuff. So I think it’s unfair of Disney imo.

It is frustrating, isn't it? :( No Mickey Monitor, no head's up about special events, no magic bands shipped, no AP stickers that you see on cars when in Disney, etc... We can watch for event updates on the boards, blog or social media, but there's always a huge risk of missing out since the events can sell out so quickly. Sometimes we don't even receive the AP magic band sliders either. We get our AP bands shipped to whichever hotel we're staying at in Disney, but sometimes we've gotten a note that the AP sliders were out of stock, but they'll be shipped to us later. Well, of course that never happened because nothing is mailed to us in Canada. :( It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, even though we're paying so much money. :( :( :(
 
I am DVC and an Annual Passholder, and I have been going crazy thinking there was something that I was doing wrong. Reading this thread at least I know! It is annoying having to figure things out via message boards/FB groups.
