CANADA SAYS 100% VACCINATED FOR CRUISES IN 2022

That is confusing. So if they are asymptomatic they can go home. "Leave before 14 days". What
does that mean? Day 2 3 4?
That’s how it reads and what prompted me to ask, hoping that someone might have more knowledge or experience with the policy.

We are going to wait until our PID then cancel if quarentining is still a requirement for positive testing at dis-embarkation. We just cant stay an additional 10 days in Vancouver. The cost, the airfare cost to change plus the added cost of sitters for our property and pets, that assuming these people will extend. I'm not worried about being covid positive. Our first cruise. Darn.

I think everyone needs to hold on, if you can, until after the end of March.

Our federal travel rules make little sense at this point, and even the federal government is acknowledging it. They've stated several times that it is all "under review". But nothing is going to change until after the spring break season is over.

Don't you just wish Disney would give us some guidance or ray of hope that they are working on the Alaska logistic problems ?? Of course I realize nobody has the magic ball with the answers, but just a little acknowlegment of trying to come up with some solutions would be nice.

I think rules will change before my Alaskan cruise in August but proof of vaccination might remain for a bit longer,

For those staying on in Canada and looking for testing before re-entry to US -- I was taking a COVID iHealth test (one that the US Govt sent for free) and the app said you can now have it supervised via video for $20 and US accepts it for re-entry. You should look into it more to verify, just passing along what the app message stated. I think a good place to look is your airline website, since they are the ones validating the information for your re-entry.

The European logistics are even worse. I’m still not sure how Disney is going to pull that off.

Interesting, we have the free ones from the government so I will have to look into that. My guess is that $20 is cheaper than what we might pay locally in Vancouver. We are staying for three days post-cruise to see Vancouver and family. Originally had hoped to take the train down, but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen and based on my research a one-way rental between countries isn't possible so I think we'll be flying home.

We received iHealth in our first shipment. Our second shipment was another brand. But I believe you can purchase iHealth online or at local pharmacies, and get reimbursed by your insurance company.

My neighbor just returned from a trip to Vancouver. He said there are different testing areas in the airport in Vancouver but some were $79 and some were much, much higher priced. I looked up the company he told me was $79 as I was going to make a reservation for our test after we get off the Hawaii cruise but you have to pay upfront and I don't want to pay if testing to get back into the US is dropped by then. You can't even be proactive because things keep changing.

I also have the tests from the government and the $20 option sounds much more plausible. I plan on bringing a bunch of rapid tests onboard with me to test along the way.

Now, if Canada and DCL just let us know what is going on it would be great!!
