My neighbor just returned from a trip to Vancouver. He said there are different testing areas in the airport in Vancouver but some were $79 and some were much, much higher priced. I looked up the company he told me was $79 as I was going to make a reservation for our test after we get off the Hawaii cruise but you have to pay upfront and I don't want to pay if testing to get back into the US is dropped by then. You can't even be proactive because things keep changing.
I also have the tests from the government and the $20 option sounds much more plausible. I plan on bringing a bunch of rapid tests onboard with me to test along the way.
Now, if Canada and DCL just let us know what is going on it would be great!!

I guess I'll have to research those options as well, but $20 sure beats almost $80x4! I am really hoping the testing requirement to return to the US will be dropped by then as well. I was thinking we'd bring a bunch with us as well. I figure the test we need to enter Canada will likely give us enough peace of mind for getting on the cruise since we arrive the day before, but this whole experience makes me feel very paranoid about testing. Although I know that my 11-year-old on the spectrum won't want to test any more than necessary. But he knows it is required. Amazing what he will willingly do for Disney!
