Can Your Dining Rotation Be Changed?

Just curious ... dh and I will be celebrating our anniversary on the last night of our Oct. cruise (we didn't even realize this 'til the CM asked me if we'd be celebrating anything!) and I got to thinking it would be nicer to be in Triton's or Animator's Palate than say Parrot Cay on our anniversary. It's not a big deal, but I was just wondering....

Also, even though there's no formal night on the 3-day, they still take "formal portraits", correct? If so, do they do them all 3 nights so that on whatever night we're at our dressiest we can have our family portrait done?

If it's your anniversary, I'd suggest trying to get Palo reservations for that night. We always book Palo for the night we're celebrating something. Also, if you call the DCL reservations desk and let them know you're celebrating an anniversary, they'll note it on your reservation and do something for you.

As for changing your rotation, you can try once you board the ship. There should be a time set aside on embarkation day where the maitre d' is available for any dining change requests. They can't guarantee that they'll be able to do it, but they'll certainly try. The time and place should be noted in the first day's Navigator.

I'm not sure about formal portraits on the Wonder, I've only sailed on the 7-day Magic, but I would think that you'll be able to have this done. There seem to be countless oppurtunities for the ships' photographers to snap your picture.

I sailed on the 4 day Wonder last September (we're sailing this September too!) I seem to recall pleanty of family photo opportunites. They had different backgrounds set up each evening.

Yes, there were definitely formal portraits being taken. We saw one of the same back-drops on our three-day last weekend that we had had our photo taken in front of on the sevem-day. Since it was the Fourth of July, they had a special photo op for that too.
I agree with the previous suggestion of going to Palo for your special night...it is sooo romantic and delicious!

Thanks so much for the info. Regarding Palo's, neither dh nor I are what I'd call "adventurous eaters" -- we both have extremely sensitive tummies (can't do sauces, spicy stuff, etc.) and I was afraid Palo's would be too sophisticated for our tastes, which generally run to the extremely simple things like steak and chicken.
