can you wash an ironing board cover? trying not to buy a new one.

No but I don't see why you couldn't do it. All's it is is cloth, right? :confused3

I've washed mine on more than one occasion, mostly because I liked it. But if you can save money, too, consider it a bonus.

Sure you can wash it. I haven't had one yet that wasn't washable...burn marks won't come out, but it will be clean.

Yes, I've washed them. I've never gotten them as smooth/tight on the ironing board afterward though.

I've found the best way to keep the ironing board cover clean is to give up ironing. :rotfl:

Be aware that quite a few of them are cotton and cotton can shrink. The last one I washed was not quite big enough to put back on. I had to add a small piece of fabric on one end. (It works fine.)

I have never washed one but disney shopping has the cutest mickey one on sale for $10! I want it so bad but NEVER iron anything anymore!

Use a old sheet for a iron board cover. That's what I use. Ihave not brought a cover for the iron board in years.

Why wash it when you can buy a new mickey mouse one. Just kidding, this is the budget board afterall. I did just see a Mickey Mouse Ironing pad on sale @ disneyshopping.com . I think it was 8.99.

I have washed mine in the past and it came out okay, but it was harder to fit on the board. Maybe I shouldn't have dried it in the dryer.
