We're planning our 2nd WDW trip and it will be a little different from the first one, because one of us (me) will already be in the US. My flight to MCO arrive around 1pm, and my mom's at 7.30pm !! I really don't want to wait 6 hours at MCO, when I can be checking us in and getting settled at the Poly.

Do they let you take the ME back to the airport the same day to pick up another guest ? I wouldnt mind paying for it.

Couldn't your mom just take the Magical Express and meet you at the Poly?

I think you're saying that you want to go back to MCO and meet your mom when she arrives at 7:30, right? If that's the case, it may be an issue for you. Everyone staying at a WDW resort is entitled to a ride from the airport to their resort and a return ride from the resort to the airport. I'm assuming your mom is using DME when she gets there. I'm not sure how you would be able to ride DME again, with her, since you have already checked in, and ridden it once, to the resort. Then, you will have used up the return to the airport as well, so how will it work when you need to go back to the airport to fly home?
Is it at all possible for your mom to just make the trip by herself? It's really easy to do. You might be able to talk to Mears and see if they offer rides for a charge, but I'm not sure you would be on the same bus as your mom...it's not a guaranteed thing. So that would be a waste.

Yes that's what I had in mind. She's 58 and she's not senile or anything LOL but she's a DITZ !!! Last time at MCO I left her right in front of the Welcome Center for a good 10mns, went to use the restrooms, and when I came back she looks at me all worried and says, "I don't know how we'll ever find that Disney bus thing". Oh yeah and this is the woman who couldnt find the Sorcerer's hat at MGM. Yep that's my mamma :)
I'll figure out something else, because you're right, they're not going to let me ride the DME 4 times!!

Or you could just explain your situation to DME and see if they have a suggestion. You might be surprised, they might be able to help you. But as others have said, I would not "just try it".

When in doubt, ask, frequently Disney will go out of their way to help folks.

IHTH

Sorry, you will not be allowed to do that.

Well, I'm pretty close to 58, and some think I'm a bit of a ditz but I find DME okay. I would be sure she has a copy of the page in the info packet you get from DME which gives you very good directions to the DME checkin desk. Otherwise, you may find it better to just hang out at the airport..that would be a huge pain!!!
You could arrange a towncar service for her, but she would still have to get to the baggage area by herself. I hate to sound harsh, and I'm really kidding here, but tell her to 'put on her big girl panties and deal with it'!!! That's my saying for this year, especially for my teen dd..of course it works for you guys also...'put on your big boy boxers and deal with it'!!!!

I'll keep thinking on it and let you know if I think of a better way..other than FedExing her to you there!!
