Can you take pictures/videos at the airport/on the plane?

This spring, our vacation will be the first time our DDs have flown...normally we've driven. Anyway, I wanted to take some pictures of them on the plane, maybe at the airport, and maybe some video. With all the new security, is this allowed? I just wanted to double check in advance since I haven't flown in many years. Thanks!
 
I took pics at the airport and on the plane when we flew in 2005, no problem. I'm a scrapbooker, gotta have the pics!
 
Yes. You can take pictures. We took pictures in the airport and on the plane. We even have one of my son in the cockpit.

I think the only area you might want to think twice about photographing or videotaping is at the security checkpoints.
