Can you substitiute taco seasoning with

fajita seasoning. I'm making a taco casserole for dinner and I just realized I have Fajita seasoning Not taco.

Or should I make my own Taco seasoning?

Fajita seasoning is different..Taco seasoning is basically just cumin,SHili Powder and garlic...You could make your own..Fajitas seasoning won't hurt,it will just taste different

Although I've never done it - I would substitute it. If anyone has a reason not to, I'm curious of the difference. When I see all the different seasoning packets I wonder what the difference is between taco, fajita and enchilada packets really are.

I'm not that great of a cook. I don't know if fajita seasoning would work or not. I'd probably sneak over to the cooking board to ask, they have some real experts over there.

Fajita seasoning usually involves some sort of citris like lime.... Enchilada sauce usually includes green chili's

2 teaspoons instant onion, Minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon dried red peppers, Crushed
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon instant garlic, Minced
1/2 teaspoon cumin, Ground

I would do it. I'm sure it will be fine. I'm sure it has the same amount of spice, just different kinds, so it will taste a bit different.
