Can you return an Avis rental inside MCO OR do you you need a shuttle?

We will be renting a car from Avis for the first time. We will be picking the car up after our first DCL cruise and then driving to Wilderness Lodge for 3 days.

When we get off the ship at Port Canaveral, we have to take an Avis shuttle to actually pick up the car somewhere else in town.

I was wondering if when we drop the car off at MCO, is the Avis office off-site from the airport and will we need extra time to take a shuttle back to the airport. I really prefer not to miss my plane after a nice vacation.

The Avis car return is at the airport. Just follow the signs for rental car returns - its well marked.
